I don't know how people can afford these new fancy cars when insurance charges for nothing. If I were to get bare minimum coverage that would help nothing at all with a newer car I'm paying 80 dollars more. This is some bullshit, fucking hate these states that make it illegal not to have insurance.

Insurance might not cover everything, however it provides around $100,000 for fatalities and damage to vehicles even if it's liability only. Kill a person without insurance and you're on the hook for funeral expenses plus property damage which unless you're rich you are not going to be able to cover. I pay around $1000 a year to cover both myself and the other driver as well as their passengers. So paying 1k for 100k worth of coverage is pretty reasonable.

True I can't argue with that but let's say you never get into a accident at all, you're basically paying for a what if scenario. Sure it's better to be safe then sorry but why do I feel like auto insurance is going to go the way of health insurance and deny a lot of things. Truthfully I've only had one accident my whole life, can't see if I'll have one again or not. Either way I feel like I'm getting ripped off
