It's because the original name was going to be fighting fantasy,but there was a trade mark issue due to a roleplaying book already being called that and they went for Final fantasy, instead.

They're gonna milk the cash cow until the teat is unmilkable, just like the hardcore FF7s are gonna keep spending money cause they got a boner for the series. I do think the original concept with young seripoth is cool but couldnt care less about any of the MAIN line stories honestly. Same with kingdom hearts, no idea if the 4th game is gonna be decent or good but hey profit

The game was also called Final Fantasy as it was Squaresoft's last ditch effort for the company. It was gonna go under but that game saved the company. Unfortunately, Squaresoft made a really bad movie, Final Fantasy Spirits Within, which in turn, bankrupted them. They ended up merging with a rival company Enix, which they are now Square Enix.

I want a ghost hunting show where the ghost hunters spend the night looking for ghost and evidence while on psychedelics. It'll be a great show for believers and nonbelievers watching them freak the fuck and get scared at nothing or something.
