How long have you been here?

Hey all, As someone new to MO, I feel like it isn't really obvious who has been here for a long time and who is still new to the site. How long have you been here? How has MO been treating you? Made any friends yet? Where have your most memorable moments been with the community? I joined MO 8 days ago, and I really like it here. I've already made some new friends, learned about new anime, and had a ton of fun. I even started watching anime with another user. My most memorable moments have been in the "Truth or dare" thread. It's a lot of fun to me.

Hello azumakazuma, I hope you enjoy your time here and meet some more worthwhile people. Q1: I've been her almost a year and a half. Q2: I found my fiance and that's about it. Q3: I Did meet some cool friends but they either left or drifted apart, so I'm all alone on MO again lol. Q4: AscheTheBloody incident, Troll Invasion (where some trolls/haxors had beef with the site owner and started falsely accusing him of being a sex offender), My conversations and musical exchange with Manga_Bird, my conversations with Miarin and the MaiOtaku Forum Famine (where no one post in the forums for like a month)

1. Around a year give or take. 2. As expected. I draw a bit of interest from people here and there but nothing major. I've had some come to me calming it was nice to meet someone 'normal' while others say I'm very different and interesting. That said though, sometimes I rub overly sensitive dumb kids who can't take a joke the wrong way. 3. few buddies, but doubt I'll ever meet anyone offline from here. 4. Came close to getting involved with a few girls but things didn't work out, not much else really. I guess the attempted hijack of the site a while back from people calming the admin was a pedo rapist was kinda amusing.

A ) The oldest post on my profile is from Jul 10, 12. Black ) I like to think Maiotaco and I are real good frienemies. Parallelogram ) Yes, yes I have - probably. Foxtrot ) The day the hearts actually did something. Also when the front page use to ask, "Sup, bitch?"

Been here for a few months now. Time moves really quick sometimes. MO has been alright to me. A lot of the times I'm both awake and not busy it's more or less dead . Like right now for example! I've made a few buddies but only 2 or 3 people I'd actually call "friends" Most memorable moments have been some funny Skype calls, playing games with people from the site( a lot of good Smash players here), and really the Random chatter section is where I spend most of the forum time here. Truth or Dare, Last to post, and Pika's house as well as a few other threads. Hopefully more memorable moments will come in time though. But it's been nice here.

1) I've been here a little over two weeks and I only recently learned: a) that everything you post on a friend's wall can be seen by your friends and your friend's friends (even though your friends are not your friend's friends and your friend's friends are not your friends :P), b) that everything you do can be seen on your friends' Recent Activity, and c) that you need Hearts to do/see certain stuff, haha! :D 2) It's been okay, so far. A perv or so here and there, but now I know better how to deal with them. This is actually my first time to have an online persona other than Skype and Facebook (strictly for professional and personal purposes), so I don't have anything else to compare my experience to. 3) I'm not really sure how long and what things you should actually have communicated via cyberspace to consider people "friends". I basically talk to people here the way I talk to people in real life, so I would say yes, maybe? 4) Hmm, I prefer private conversations over wall/forum exchanges (except on Serious Talk) and a number of PMs with people have been nice and I guess, memorable. It's always a pleasant surprise to meet fellow otaku(s) who are also aware and passionate about things other than anime, manga, etc. :)

I've been here a year now. I think the first time I poked around in the forums I was took excited to find so many anime fans cloistered together. I actually got banned for one night for being an asshole on the suggestions and comments forum. I asked for it.. literally. Nobody was on and all I wanted to do was talk. I don't do so great on one on one conversations and prefer talking in the forums with a group of people. I figure I would just be better off not having access to the site for the rest of the night and thought, HEY WHY DON'T I JUST ASK TO BE BANNED??? while thinking, "It's not like there are any moderators around anyway, ma'right??.... oh shiz.... I can't post.. wtf?" When I joined it seemed like there were more people active in the Serious Forum. Lots of things going on in the world in politics and culture; many things to debate and discuss. Then its like those people just gradually stopped posting or started leaving. Last summer on MO was pretty slow for me. I quickly became disenchanted but then when I started poking around again towards the end of summer and beginning of Fall a few people were more active. Sunflower appeared, Frost appeared, Arc was posting a whole lot more. The Truth or Dare thread was made and I think that's where I actually started getting closer to people. The sad thing is people come and people go on here. Sometimes you think you have made an impression on someone or they have made an impression on you.. but then the next day they could just decide not to come back. Just a word of advice, if there is someone you like out there, don't take them for granted.

panda-kun reporting in lol i have been here since i think october of 2014 so a year and several months. this place has been my hang out spot since i joined. back when i joined the forums were dead for literally hours everyday and at night is when all the guys became active. at the time only 5 of us were active posters and we joined together and made a skype group. eventually they all left the site im like the only survivor from that time...i was crowned mascot of MO a long time ago since i used to welcome everyone to the site. i think this place is pretty awesome despite all my complaints abiut the site itself. the community is something i really hold dear to me...had it not been for all the people on this site i would have been in a much darker place. they have helped figure out who i am, and maybe stop me from making some of the dumbest decisions of my life.

Haha @Panda I remember that time you being the mascot and sunny boy of MO. But there was someone other Mascot together with you, you remember who?
