What is your Earliest memory you had once you were aware of the world around you and what happened immediately after the memory?

I fell down the stairs. Why I was up there apparently all alone I have no idea. I have a lot of weird memories like that though... one time I walked into my grandma's pool and just sat under water until my mom noticed and pulled me out. I guess the baby life was just too much for me.
Second memory doesn't really make a whole lot of sense but that's how I recall it strangely enough.

hmm *thinks thinks* I have to say my first memory that I can think far back is when I was at my grandparents house in the kiddie pool and I remember it was a hot day and the water was nice and cold and I didn't wanna get out. xD

I have one vivid memory of a time when I was apparently learning how to speak. My family used to have a dog, and its my only memory of her. Alas, I never really got to know Pepper. Basically I was lying on my stomach on the floor, and my grandma was asking me a question in that condescending sort of way that adults talk to infants and toddlers, as Pepper was lying next to me. All warm and fuzzy-like.

I remember laying in my crib not being able to move much. It was dark and I was alone so I called about the only way I knew how by crying and my mom would pick me up in her arms and rock me back to sleep, and that is not my only momery as an infant.

Being born. I remember first seeing a lot of red through my closed eyelids. It was cold, very cold. And I was wet. It was unpleasant to say the least. All the sounds I heard were muffled voices. The worst feeling was when I was set down on the cold metal of the weighing scale. I was wrapped up and shortly after fell asleep.
I think the incident where my naked butt was touching the cold scale was so traumatizing I remembered it XD
I find this very interesting because science suggest that the hippocampus is not fully developed at birth, but I believe that it is false that infantile amnesia erases ALL memories.

It's really hard to say. It's easy to make up memories and believe that they were real since we can only remember so much of our earlier days.
For me I'd have to say when I was maybe 3-5 years old. I woke up in a bed in the morning, started stretching and looking around before I got off of the bed and started walking around. Then I eventually found the door and opened it and saw the rest of my family still living with me then.
