Scientists are discovering more and more everyday what happens when a person dies. That's not to say within the next couple of weeks I think they will have the answers and solved one of life's greatest mysteries. My primary concern is what happens to us consciously as we die. There are the instances where people talk about their lives flashing before their eyes in a myriad of memories. I think whatever is happening, loss of oxygen/cardio arrest, heart failure, whatever is going on in your body to cause a cease of function, your brain triggers a process similar to what it does when it is preparing the body to sleep. I think people go into a lull-like state, maybe whatever they are thinking of at the time takes wings and runs rampant. Maybe it's more like an Ambiene induced sleep where you are aware of what's going on but everything is heavy/drowsy. Apparently a brain can show consciousness up to 20-40 minutes after other organs have ceased to function. Of course at those lengths it would have to be under hypothermic conditions to slow down deterioration and cell death. -----but people heave been brought back before even at those lengths of time. People report seeing different things - using the term "seeing" loosely as I think it all happens inside their minds. Anyway, after that last bout of consciousness in a dreamlike state, I think there is nothing. I think you are just lulled to death just as you are lulled to sleep every night.

I think we're all spiritual beings living in a material world of illusions, not the opposite. Beliefs aside, I tell this because I've had some interesting experiences in life; seeing auras (fields of energy which inhabit every material being), moving a piece of paper with telekinesis and a candle flame with pyrokinesis (extra-sensorial powers, all of us have within ourselves on a higher or lower scale), once I saw a UFO (call me what you want, but I saw it and didn't was a drone or similar stuff), once a plate simply exploded on the kitchen's cabinet and everyone in the house became scared as hell (this happened in 2004 and until today nobody knows the reason), one night I was imagining kissing someone and a black silhouette like a shadow materialized upon my body and kissed me (I think my mind materialized the figure, I was concentrated in a deep state), this are some examples that make me doubt about some things taught in our mainstream culture and religion, and the most interesting experience I had was the lucid dreams, one of those seemed so real that now I'm like: "Damnit, I want to come back to that place!" Probably you're doubting me, humans need to see the things for themselves to believe, after all. But that's my story, so I believe there's much more things in this life and space than we were taught about...

some ghosts are smart and they dont know theyve been dead for hundreds of yoears because there isnt time. i believe theres theres many places where we go when we die. not too sure if theres heaven and hell but something kinda like that though.

But that's my story, so I believe there's much more things in this life and space than we were taught about... ^^I'm the same way Ivo. Anytime I share any experiences with anyone it's usually because someone asked. I don't try to convince people what I saw was real or try to sway them to believe me because there's nothing to believe--it was my own experience. It's when people try to discredit what I saw when I have an issue. Of all things that could explain the whys and hows they jump to conclusions to explain away a personal experience. If I could will things to happen to those people I would, they are quite startling and nerve wracking.

I've soon some spooky stuff in my time, so I guess there is an afterlife. I don't understand though how it can just be us in a universe so vast and expanding. I'm not going to go full on "ALIENZ", but it just seems ignorant to me that we are alone. If we are not alone: what does that mean in terms of their religion, how does that correlate with our religions, what does that make creators, and why do goats have creepy eyes. There is just so much that can't be answered and our mind is possible of ,so much. I guess in the end we will find out.

J: Oh there is definitely other intelligent life out there. Statistically impossible that we're alone. As for alien contact... Well, take a look at humanity's very short, yet very violent history. Personally, I'd be staying very far away from a species/race like that. Because, let's face it. How many governments would jump at the chance to establish a common enemy (omg alien invaders gais) for a united world? For a more homely example, the Sentinel Island natives. We're vastly technologically superior, but we leave them alone because they become extremely violent to outside forces. I would expect the same outcome from peaceful aliens. Our violence would force them to keep their distance. I don't expect any kind of actual contact as we are. Maybe in a hundred or so years, depending on if we can behave. XD

If we do ever make contact it will probably be like Columbus and the native Americans. You know how that ended.
