Cosplay: Yay or Nay?

Do you like cosplay? If so, have you ever cosplayed yourself? As who? (If you don't, why don't you?) Personally, I like it a lot, though I've never done it myself. I lack the confidence. I hope to do it someday!

Yay. I haven't cosplayed yet, but I'm going as San (Princess Mononoke) for Halloween. I have Mikasa (Attack on Titan) in progress which will be my first actual cosplay. I'd like to do Uta (Tokyo Ghoul) eventually, and possibly Vincent Valentine (Final Fantasy) The main reason I haven't been able to cosplay was because I was too antisocial. Now that I'm not as anxious and shy, the other issue is money, lol.

Depends on the character and if someone can even pull it off. I'd say Yay for the Japanese because they actually put some effort into it most of the time, and Nay for westerners who tend to approach it more as a joke.

Yay. I've cosplayed as Gaara, Hei (Darker than Black), Racoon Police officer, and Team Plasma N. I haven't done any cosplay this year though due to money and my irl friends moved away, and I refuse to go to conventions alone. PS: I have a nice AoT cloak (Survey Crops) if anybody is need of one! xD

There's some great cosplay out there, as well as some god-awful ones. I can appreciate it, but it's not something I'm personally in to. :P

Been there, done that. It's quite annoying to be stopped every five seconds and asked to pose...And yet, it's kind of fun. You can't really be embarrassed since more than likely no one knows who you personally are, just relax, have fun and throw your fucks out the window.

Yay, I cosplay as Hanayo Koizumi, Yona, Syo, Yukimura Tooru, and an OC. It's really fun even if you're not the perfect body shape or skin color. I like how confident I can feel in cosplay.

If someone would make me some cosplay get-up then I would lol. If I could cosplay I'd cosplay The priest from Dungeon and Fighter lolol. Maybe persona 4 protag, Yun from SF3, Male Striker from Dungeon and Fighter... and more.
