Does anybody else do this?

Something that someone said at my last con made me wonder about this. Does anybody or has anybody attended a panel/event with a VA guest, just to hear them speak? Not really caring too much about the subject of the panel but mostly just to hear them speak, to hear their voice pretty much?

Considering the main appeal of VAs is their voice, yeah I'd say it's probably pretty common place for people to just wanna hear them speak.

I guess that I would have assumed that others did as well but after hearing that guy saying that he doubted that the panel would have been full, sounded like he expected it to be empty, I just wasn't that sure. I guess it's just relative.

It would be boring if VAs didn't speak. Have you ever been to a panel where the panel hosts never spoke? Haha, but seriously, it's fun hearing their natural voices. Although most of the ones I was dragged into (I usually avoid them if only because of the lines), I think my favorite part is just hearing their funny stories from working in the industry. Those are amusing.

Of course. Jennifer Hale... Monica Rial... Hell, I'd have Marguerite Kathryn Flecknoe read me the damn VCR manual.

Of course if it's English VAs we're talking about you'd have to pay me to listen to their noise.
