Harassment

If anyone you know harasses people do you step in and tell them to stop? - Even if it's online chatter? A friend of mine was getting harassed by a bunch of girls on this site (I say girls because that's how they were acting). He eventually deactivated it; hence the question.

I have in the past tried to intervene but in RL it causes issues for you be it school or work. Online is a whole different monster because ignorance and idiocy runs rampant. There will be no stopping of internet trolls. even by banning IP addresses, it makes things harder but not impenetrable.

Online? It's easy enough to ignore. What are they gonna do, type words at ya? In the real world? Walk away if I can, take legal actions if I must and fight if I have to.

To post online you have to have a little bit of thick skin, because depending on how you act you might get some flack. I don't fight other people's battles unless I know they are too kind to fight back (ex: Sunflower and Fancy). In real life I don't say anything if my close friend is getting picked on. I just back away slowly and out of sight. Then, flying fist to the side of the face!

It's tougher online just because of the anonymity of the internet. You can be a douchebag to be people and 99% of the time face no repercussions for it other than something minor like being banned.
