Religion is necessary to give men a north to follow. No civilization rejected the idea of God as a whole, none. Besides, trusting a God is way better than trusting men.

Trusting men who tell you what god is right? Religion hurts no one, correct. People hurt people. I'm one that believes as long as it's making you a better person and you're not hurting or impeding others, why not? Don't shove it in my face and we can remain civil. Also, kind of a biggie, don't let your government become your religion or your religion become your government.

I say if you are following a religion, don't be hypocritical to deny its dogmas. You'll have to live with them. Better trusting men with a stick than men who claim you can take the stick, while in reality you give the stick to them.
