Hi i'm back from backpacking!

Went on a backpacking holiday for 2 weeks with my little sister in Italy. Great land to backpack in! We went to torino,bologna,firenze,napoli & Rome. making use of cheap hostels & transportation. If you are curious i'd highly advice trying it with your friends/partner. Do any of you backpack? and where did you go?

Been in the UK for two months after I graduated from school with a mate and we hiked all the way from London up to Glasgow. We stopped in Nottingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow and been to Isle of Arran just to drink some "Arran Malt" there, haha. It's really pretty, too, though. England isn't the best when it comes to weather but I love the landscapes and also got to visit a few friends. Definitely wanna backpack through New Zealand sometime.

@Panda It means you take a backpack, throw all the stuff you need to survive and a tent in it.. and go hiking through a country of your choice for days/weeks/months.. No hotels, no airplanes, no trains... just by foot and off your backpack. The nature and fresh air soothes your soul.. or at least mine, lol.

^you got different kinds of backpacking vacations, you can indeed camp. but it isn't a necessity. You just travel lightly, and go where you wanna go, be it cities or nature. for example we traveled by bus a lot. which only costed us 1 euro to go from city to city. we slept at cheap inns & youth hostels for example

Aren't you confusing it with camping? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Backpacking_%28travel%29 guess it's a cultural difference in definition then
