Well i understand that. I'm just talking about a certain situation, and not how business falls and goes.

It's about time that we caught up with the rest of the civilized world on this issue.

Just think about this for a second, we're one of the youngest nations and yet comparatively what took other nations a thousand or more years to do, we've done in just a few centuries. Just think about that the next time you want to talk about how backwards or non progressive The United States is. Catching up...Come on.

I'm really, really happy about it. The most important words of our constitution haven't been more fully realized. All men are created equal. Same-sex marriage is now an unalienable right that can't be denied.
Going off on a limb, I really want June 26th to become a holiday. If at least for the LGBT community if not the US as a whole. No union is more profound than marriage, for it embodies the highest ideals of love, fidelity, devotion, sacrifice and family. That shouldn't be ignored by anyone, and in fact should be celebrated.
Thank you, Anthony Kennedy.
It's been a grueling 46 years.

Just think... Now some estranged lesbian will be sulking at the bar, recklessly navigating her way to the bottom of a beer mug having been kicked out of the house over some argument. Some gay guy made some off comment and now has to sleep on the couch with the dog...
Just like everybody else...

Long thread.... short posts.
I wasn't against it until this #Lovewins BS... which overran much of my internet. Now I'm deleting/unfriending as much as I can... replacing with #HateHard. lol

Don't get me wrong, I'm not insinuating that the U.S. is backwards or non-progressive. Our country is ahead in many aspects, but falls short in others. Our country didn't become great by coming in second place. Yes, our country may be relatively young, but that didn't slow us down before. We could have been faster on this.

Some aren't happy about it at all:
The head of an organization of African-American pastors told Newsmax Saturday that Christians must oppose the Supreme Court's gay marriage ruling through civil disobedience because "you do something to get arrested to call attention to the injustice."
"I was in the civil rights movement, so I know how to do it" the Rev. Bill Owens, president of the Coalition of African-American Pastors (CAAP), said in an interview. "When we sat at the counters at restaurants, we knew we were going to be arrested. You do things to get arrested, to call attention to it.
"So many people were silent," he added. "The church people were absolutely silent on this issue. A few leaders spoke out, but the masses of the church people were silent."
