Too trusting? When's the best time to cut my losses?

Well... I'd gotten out of a major relationship... maybe a little under a year and a half ago. I'd spent some time just... dating, really. Not looking for a real relationship, but trying to work my way into understanding myself and just enjoying life. (After that kind of separation, I kind of needed to.) <br> <br> Now that I think I'm ready for a real relationship again, I seem to be running into much of the same problem. I've been led on a couple times now, the most recent of which being she kept me on the line, so to speak, in case things with her boyfriend didn't work out. It's really annoying to be led on and told I'm such a "great guy," only to then be discarded or, after a long time of waiting, just told I'm not needed anymore. I guess I don't know how to explain this any better, nor do I know what kind of advice to ask for... so, I guess I'm just venting, maybe.

Yeah, a lot of women tend to do that. I lost track at this point as to how many times I've been led on too. Not all are like that, but I will warn you that many are. It's just a matter of being able to weed out the bad ones and pursue the good ones. It's tough, but you'll thank me later!

Yes the first girl I confess to was like that. In the end it boils down to how you value your self. Your self worth plays a big part in your decisions. Lets face it she isn't yours so find another one show her you are not her's if she doesn't commit to you. Is the best thing you can do. If she thinks she might loose you it will make her decide you can't waste your life away waiting on her if it doesn't work out with the other guy.

The first step to happiness concerning a dating life is being completely okay with the fact that you are single. That way, you're never led on. You can only lead others on :p

its all about process of search and elimination. Eventually you will find someone that fits but in the mean time, we gotta embrace the suck of searching.
