How do you cope with it all!

This sounds weird. But I am curious what would you do if you were really upset. How would you cope if you felt like the world's baggage was resting on your shoulders. Now we each have times when we have so much heavy stuff weighing us down that we have to do something. Example: When the world feels overwhelming to the point I might do something regrettable, I dye my hair a new color (I do this normally too, but will do so for lifting my mood).

The way I cope with the world: I play metal music. That being Bring me the Horizon, Disturbed, Rob Zombie, Nine Inch Nails, etc. I chat with people that actually care about my well being. They actually want to know about my problems. I think about my life and how it's going nowhere. I talk to myself. Which some of you might think that's weird, but it helps alot.

I just try to imagine how long people have been surviving on this planet without modern luxuries. Humans have been dealing with surviving with diseases, accidents, predators, nature, etc. I can deal with this. If that doesn't work, I just try to imagine how vast the universe is and how insignificant our little planet is in the universe. Billions of years have past and billions of years will go by. I don't matter and my problems don't mean shit. After that thought exercise I usually feel better, since then I realize that no matter what happens or what I do, the universe won't care. So I go masturbate.

As someone speaking for the community of those struggling with anxiety and depression here where i live. It's not easy, what you have clearly is Anxiety from 'worrying about the future to much'. Your probably not sure what to do or how to fix it or even how to even solve the problem, yet your laying in bed looking at the cieling in the dark wondering 'how am i going to live, what is the purpose.' well thats all okay, congrats your feeling human. However you need time to calm down and write out or think out your thoughts, find a friend you trust and discuss the problem, they will sit with you and at the least talk out the problem, might not solve it but just talking about it will help. Next its time to get away from the normal, try putting things away and meting a friend for lunch, coffee, maybe a hangout at THEIR place rather then your home. By doing his you make useful familiar to unfamiliar surroundings and get a fresh new perspective for that day or even week, sometimes a month. Next try drinking tea's, herbs, other variations that'll allow you to calm the chemicals in your body that are stressing you out. Tea is a natural everyday calming tool that'll free you to relax and take rest when you can. Write down your thoughts and then google those ideas to see if anyone else has sovled the problems, if not, rethink the question or think of solutions and write them down, then proceed to talk o others about this idea. Your ok, you just need to calm yourself and think positive and get some fresh air.

I am big on escapism. I will run off into the woods just to get some time to escape, but it doesn't just have to be from people it could be from myself now that might confuse you, it is pretty much me just doing stuff like theme parks or running. I also do transformations, Mainly changing my hair color. And then there is the beat whatever is stressing me out over the head type tactic as I head straight at it to end it. And finally there is the recluse, I will stop eating, drinking, and lock myself up in my room to sleep and read. First stage of this is for me to stop talking. People fear this stage around me most of all since my silent anger starts the same way and it is near impossible to tell the difference.

I play videogames, occasionally drink, and watch anime. It leaves me feeling empty inside, but it recharges me enough to be ready for the next day. Consumes too much time to be healthy, though.

i try talk to friends or punch walls or cry i just let everything out but if im to worn out or sad i curl up and hug into my pillow and cry

I take a drive through the local national forest and find a quiet spot to chill. Failing that, I hang out with my friends, they are always good at cheering me up.

^ I have a table that used to stab like a sociopath. Just murdered the hell out of it. But nowadays I just deal with it like an average human being, running and boxing n such.
