Am I the only one who finds it so hard to communicate with people? Iv never really had any freinds in life and I figured sense I'm aproching adult hood I should at least attempt at building a relationship, you know, so I don't end up being the 45 year old mortician lady down the street that spends her days talking to anime figures, drawing Dr. Who and Sherlock crossover doshinji's, and actually creating a 2073 page essay on precisely why Picard is far more superior to Kirk. Anyone else?

sounds like you're an introvert who lives in the middle of nowhere.=/ moving to Toronto will help, but so would joining a club or volunteering for a cause you feel strongly about... that's a good place to meet people with similar interests.

I Feel you sirrae73. My life, I feel the same. I made friends, yet they weren't really my friend. I would say they would be "people I know." That would be all.

Youre still young, you have plenty of time ahead of you! Friends come out of nowhere all the time! more importantly, why would it take 2073 pages to explain Picard superiority? I could do it in a lot less than that!

I do need to get out more, I just don't have the means to at the moment, hopefully will soon though. AND yes, it would take 2974 pages in order to capture every single detail in the purest form of amazingly epic that is Picard I don't necessary want a lot of freinds, just one good one is fine with me

Is there not some local places you can go? Cons are good, but can be expensive, especially if theyre far away.... Having lots of friends is always good, that way you will never feel lonely! But having a few good friends is best, people you know you can rely on when things get tough! And now youre changing your tune, one minute its 2974 pages of why Picard is amazing (of which I wholeheartedly agree) and before it was a comparison between Kirk and Picard. To save 2073 pages I can sum it up in one sentence. Kirk had a bridge fall on him, Picard didnt....

Excellent point about the bridge x) never thought of that HOWEVER, the correct way to present an aurgument ( or in this case, a research paper) one would present both sides of the team, list individual pros and cons , compare, and state a final verdict. So I was referring to the number of pages it would take to write Picard's part of said paper :) ( I probably should of made that clearer, sorry ^^") And, no, at the moment I don't have accsess to transportation to get around, not untill few more weeks anyway.
