because they are social awkward. or the guys they are into are socially awkard and won't ask them out. women are taught that guys are suppose to approach them.

Foxmoon is right, its kinda bad enough that the balance of it is off. There are alot of Otakus out there both guys and girls who are just socially awkward and not used to these types of situations in dating or relationships. They got the idea or "dream relationship" in their mind. Probably with an Anime Character but when it comes down to it in real life. It all goes a complete 180.

I think that we girls are socially awkward (as suggested before) and/or don't know the next step into acquiring a relationship and/or they don't know how to keep a relationship. Also, appearances aren't everything. Many a pretty girl has been a facade to something a bit more...insane.

Tell you what I am awkward like that. I was playing a game and I focus on just enjoying it and starting random conversion that's when another awkward girl snag me. She probably will keep me for a long time because she reminds me once in a while how much she wants me. Lol I think as long as you tell people you want them and is not because you need them. Just because you want to be with them. It will work out.

Nice thread! Being single is really surprising for me too! Q_Q lol but on the furrealzies it's not easy being...single. I just recently (today actually) found this social forum that satisfies my otaku desires, and I admit it's a relief just to have an outlet for my insane anime-lovin' side. It makes me unique, and it's a decision a lot like with other things I love...a very deep and dear feeling that takes the right time and right kind of like-minded people to share.

haha i agree with being socially akward. But im kind of dense in the first place. If a girl just doesnt flat out say "im interested in you" or something, I probably wouldnt pick up on anything. And im too much of a nice guy that i dont want to offend anyone by making a move. Its tough being Otaku.

They are right, - Poor Social Skills/Socially Awkward - The Social Group of "Geeks/Nerds/Otaku" they are in is not that popular. The hardcore part that is. - Very shy.
