Manga or Anime

ventornado
tbh, I prefer anime because it is so much easier to deciphor events when you see it in color and action. The problem with some anime though, some are very poor adaptations that leave off certain aspects. Nanatsu no Taizai: Seven Deadly Sins for example.

Assuming its not an "either/or" situation, it depends like a few others have said. I believe that manga usually provides more story, in fact for one reason or another anime adaptions are unable to get all the story whether they want to or not. But I'm able to get through a series faster by watching the anime version rather than read it since I'm more of a slow reader. I enjoy both though. When I watch a series and really enjoy it or find out that the original material (whether its visual media or book) has a different ending I usually want to go back and watch/read the original, though not detracting from my initial enjoyment of what I viewed/read.

Though there are some series that I would recommend being watched/read before the other. Rosario Vampire for example. I believe that would be more enjoyable being watched first and then read.

I prefer manga over anime.

I havent read much manga lately, but that's due to running out of manga to read. Ive been watching more anime because 1. Im catching up on anime i either missed as a kid pr digging up obscure titles (mostly samurai ovas) and 2. Its free on toonami. im starting to open up to more anime gradually lately.

Never underestimate the power of "free" anime XD

and yet free manga scanlations are never a problem ... hmmm I'll take manga first if I like the subject or story I'll try and buy it to help the author. If anime version exists id watch it subbed and either buy it or download it onto my hdd :)

That's a hard question to answer, but here goes nothing. I love both anime and manga equally. It also depends on the series as well. Like Hikaru no go its a good manga, but it lacks substance as an anime.

Manga- I like having more control over the time I put into it. Then theres all the anime manga divergences that get confusing plus I read a ton of manga that'll probably never get animated.
