Any personal stories, or stories you've heard off hand?
For me, was we were at the movies, I only had enough money for one ticket, rest of the mall was closed so we spent the entire time in my car, avoiding talking bout how awkward it was; lesson learned, make sure have enough cash for a date.

Met this blonde guy in the anime section of a movie store. (hmmm? yea) Anyway asked for my number kept bothering me to come over his house all day long. Was out with my cuzin, its like 2:00 a.m. hes still begging. So I decide to show up however its late I dont own a gun so the cuzin comes with me. He lets me in father lets us in the house, nicely greets us its like 2:00 a.m. I want your parents. Shows me his manga collection and anime. Talks for about 30 minutes then we leave. Sit in the drive way for a bit he follows out to talk some more, kneeling on the ground beside my open car door, decides to pat my hair like? LOLZ, seriously dont do that lolz just ask if its real im super honest an dont give a freak. Then still talking and all of a sudden he starts kissing up my arm im just like (wtf, wtf, wtf, WTF) in my head lolz trying not to say it outloud after that he just creeped me out. He was going at it too kinda hated to break him out of what ever world he was in. Also dont ask someone like me to come watch you go paintballing better believe im joining, just saying. Calls me 4 months later says I just came out the hospital, I tried to kill myself over my ex. ?????? Dont, tell random people that like??????//????

Well I just went on a blind date. She was nice we had alot in common. We went to a restaurant and she went into vegetarian mode and went save the animals on me. I respected her views and believe in them but she totally made the date way more awkward than need be. Needless to say there wasn't a second date.

Set up with a friend's ex-hookup who still had feelings for my friend.
Met up with a girl that kept throwing mixed signals and she says "this isn't a date-type date, is it?"

My friends sister always wanted to be set on a blind date. So she asked me if I could do it. I agreed and I went out to the movies with her sis.
We went to see the woman in black. Movie was not scary at all but it had Hurr Pottah so its all good.
ANYWAYS, So we're watching the movie and eating popcorn when all of a sudden, I put a handful of popcorn in my mouth and I feel that they're wet. Confused, I look over and see her put a handful of popcorn in her mouth and as shes chewing some of the popcorn is falling back into the bag.
Now I'm sure you can imagine the look of horror that was on my face at that moment. When I realized I was eating saliva cornpop shiet.
I bailed after the movie.
Now shes a really good friend, she sometimes mentions me bailing on her, but I never told her why lol

Well, I don't have any as awkward as some of you guys.
However, for me my most awkward date was probably when I went to the mall with a woman who spent literally the entire time ranting about how much she hated her brother. Everything she talked about was petty and childish reasons too. When the date was finally over and I got back in my car I was so relieved I felt like a balloon being deflated. It was one of those "please be mericful and kill me now" kind of dates.
Also, I really hate it when a date is rude to service people like waiters and waitresses. Huge turn off when they do that...

I wouldn't say most awkward but.. it's the most memorable and fun one to share.
Met a guy online and decided to go on a date.
I wait for him at the theater-- I'm early, so I text to tell him that I already got there.
He finally arrives and shockingly, shorter than what his profile originally stated..
which would have been at the very least five inches taller than me.
He's probably only an inch or two taller than me in reality; three at best.
I was speechless and could only smile and proceed with the date;
obviously, it wasn't a deal breaker, he was still a really nice and funny guy.
... anyway, we get together and decide to have a second date.
This time, we agree to meet at a mall after work.
I happen to come across this cute pair of shoes and end up buying them.
I change into them of course cause I wanted to show them off.
He arrives the moment I'm changing into them and as soon as I stand up..
we both realize that now, I'm the taller one.
The heels honestly didn't look that high when I bought them.
He got really upset over it. And when I mean really upset. I mean like REALLY upset.
Not that it was the only reason; it was one of many...
but it never did work out in the end. OTL

hmmmm most akqward for me would have to be the time i meet a guy face to face after trying online dating site. it was the first time i had ever tried dating online and i was chating with this guy he seemed really nice a funny. so when he asked if i wanted to go out for dinner i said sure *shudder* my mistake. first the guy told me we were going to meet up at this supposedly really nice resturant but it turned out to be an almost foreclosed run down pizza joint i thought it was a mistake on both our part since he said hed never been before (lies the people working seemd to know him as i found out later) but i figured hey what the hell somthing we can both laugh about or we can go some where else besides my roomates and all my family and freinds know exactly where im at and to call if i dont at least text after 2 hours (im paranoid so sue me) so we had dinner he was sweet enough to pay but then when we sat down to talk he kept acting really figity and weird asking odd questions like had i taken self defense and stuff(mind you i was prior military so i guess its not that odd just somthing about the way he asked it made me watch my drink really closely)by the time the date was done i dropped him off at his place(since i had to pick him up to becuase his brother apparently had borrowed his car)he invited me in and i told him for just a second since he kept begging to show me his pet hed talked about for a large part of the date. i went to the bathroom for 2 seconds 2! and i walk out and hes wearing nothing but boxers ...i just plain walked out of the house as i was leaving he fallowed me out to the car and started screaming at me calling me a b**** and how i needed to pay him back for dinner since he used his last 20 to buy me dinner(even though i tried to pay for my self he insisted)etc etc. have to say that was not only the worst date iv ever had but it was sincerely and truely the most akward.

That was just damn creepy starting at his choice of restaurant! Good to hear you got out of there safe.
How about awkward flirting? For the last two concerts I've attended one of the other regulars has tried flirting with me after she's had a few drinks, which kills it for me. If you can't approach me sober then don't bother at all. The first time we were at an after-party, while I was going through some photos with someone from the band she comes up and asks if I have any photos of myself. I tell her no so she insists on taking a photo of us together. I snap a few to humor her. She didn't ask to send them to her, probably too drunk to think that far, so I deleted them.
A few weeks later we're at another show, at one point I'm replacing a guitar string (I do some roadie work for a few local bands) and the same person says she wants to hear me play. I tell her I don't know how and she becomes insistent that I do. I told her I couldn't carry a tune if it was in a box (true! lol) so she says I'm lying. Of course she's lit. Fortunately my exit came in returning the guitar and a friend's wife pulling me outside for a smoke (don't smoke but it works). She's trying too hard, and too drunk when she does.
