Depression

You ever felt weak before like your soul has been sucked out of your body? And you can't get out of bed? And all you want to do is cry? And your chest feels empty.... your entire body feels empty. Please tell me, how did you cope?

I did once when my ex gf cheated on me. I hated it. I forced myself to hang out with others and get out of the house and did fun things like bowling, go to the amusement park, etc just to get my mind off of being depressed

I have only very rarely felt this way. But my ex felt this way almost daily when her depression was really bad. It really helps to have someone to support you and just be there for you. Of course that isn't always possible. Sometimes a good cry helps, what I do if I'm really depressed. But find something or think of something that makes you feel good and focus on that. Make that your reason for getting up.

All the time, Though the worst was a while back and it's a long story of why. Everyone copes differently, Some listen to music, Some read, some push themselves in work, I get angry and then work. Just know a few things though that might help, #1: Do something you enjoy, Be it games, Talking to someone you care about, Going to a park, Whatever you like. #2: Never, and I mean Never Isolate yourself(I have big problems with this myself so I know), You may not want to tell anyone or you family, But if they care about you they will help, You don't even need to tell anyone truly, Just spend time with them, Watch a movie, Laugh, Talk, Anything, Allowing yourself to be alone will only give you more time to think of your pain. #3: Look on the bright side of things, You may have lost someone you care about for example, Well remember who you still have and be thankful for that,Or instead of remembering that they are gone, Remember all the good times you had. #4: Time, Time will not heal you completely, But it will dull your hurt over time. Even though it may feel like time doesn't move at all. 5# Exercise: This one may seem silly, But it's true, Just drop and do some sit ups, or push ups, Get your heart pumping, It will bring out your " happy hormones", Trust me, it helps. 6# Talk to someone about your problems, Let your heart bleed for someone to see and why, Let them help you, I do this with my friends all the time to help them, and it does help them. That's all I can think of at the moment, And without knowing what caused your depression. Just know that the world isn't over and try to smile even if it feels like you lost it, Because all the good times aren't over yet. If you want to talk about it, Just ask, I'd be glad to help you.

I suffer from clinical major depression so it's not just a feeling, it's part of my daily life. I keep busy. Talk to friends often, listen to music, anything to keep my mind from things that get me really down, really.

Thanks so much for the advice and support. I feel like I shouldn't be so depressed since I just spent last week with the guy I love. But leaving him to go back home combined with my current living situation kind of knocked me down. I forced myself to get up for work today. Hopefully time with friends at work will make me feel better.

Of course, No thanks needed * gentlemen's bow*. Sometimes we all just get in that mood, But if you follow my tips you should be fine sooner or later. So go get em.

In my experience, the best thing is to be around other people and not focus so much on how you feel. It sounds like you're taking a good approach, so I hope you feel better soon.

Yup, I experienced it two times already. First one was when I stopped schooling... I experienced humiliation from the school bec. my parents paid my tuition fee late, the fact that I need to stop going to school and being heartbroken by a first love. It was really tough dealing with my depression before that I cried almost everyday before going to bed and always slept more than 8 hours or I ended up not sleeping at all. Then my sister asked me to help her with her online jobs and later I made an account then got my earnings too which made me so happy :) Then I remember playing a visual novel called X-note xD https://storygames4u.wordpress.com/about/ read that <~ Second time was when I experienced so much pain from my 1st ex. How I cope up with my depression? I learned to love myself more and have fun by doing things that make me happy :) If you have a hobby of watching anime or playing some games or reading, it's a good therapy. Then talking to positive people and sharing your problems with them is a good way too^^ Read some motivational books too (there are free ebooks about them also) And finally, focus on achieving your goals in life :) I learned that if I get depressed on some bad experiences in life, I will only be the loser since it will affect me physically, emotionally, psychologically and spiritually. Praying everyday also helped me a lot to get through depression :)
