Give up or keep hope alive

When I say a freaky guy I mean one who is obsessed with something a hobby or whatever to a freakish level and expects you to be obsessed with it as well or that eventually you will be. Don't get me wrong I like freaky, freaky is fun but its annoying when you're expected to obsess over something you don't care about much. I hope that makes sense ^^;

Give up. Relinquish all hope and retreat to a life of solitude in the Chilean mountains. Best advice I can give you. jk. I feel the same. It is what it is though; still a decent site for anime things, a few buddies, etc.

From my experience here nobody cares about me. /: I'd like to think I am fun and cool but nobody wants to start a conversation besides a chosen few. So I gave up, kinda. But I'm kinda seeing someone now so it's cool. Don't give up but don't rely on MO solely, I guess.

I guess everyone here might have a problem starting a convo with some one. I know I have a problem starting a convo. I have a few people on my friend's list I haven't gotten a chance to say hello. I say don't give up hope

I still think that people come here with too high expectations.This isn't some kind of magical land where everyone magically gets to hook up with a cute loli otaku just because. This isn't really a dating site in the first place, but if you consider it so, then be prepared to present the same kind of effort you'd need to in order to hook up in any other site. Otaku girls exist but they remain people, and are probably similar to their male counterparts. I grow tired of repeating this sometimes, but similar interests will only get you so far, for the rest you're gonna have to work a bit.

I've been okay with asking for advice or giving it on here. It can be a slow forum and I don't play the game where I bug someone first. If they want to talk then I always respond. Kinda like danidc26 I've given up on finding someone with the same interests and weirdness. I'm not crawling back into the cave but I'm not over extending myself anymore either.

Nah i think you should keep hope, have you tried bringing other stuff up? Like talking about their life or just telling them about yours? I have met tons of people here who never once mentioned anime

I think try asking some of the basic questions about life and some news you heard about a friend's home country xD You must keep your hopes up but don't expect too much I'd say xD Life goes on no matter what happens :) Good things happen for those who wait :)
