Slight. Nothing serious. I did try to commit suicide some years ago, but I'm completely over it now.

Depends what you mean by depression, if you mean being in such a negative mood you begin to think your life has no meaning or can't be bothered to do anything then yes.

I have a very mild case of depression, but it has gotten much better over the years. I have some medicine that's been working well for me and some good friends I can rely on for support. I'm very thankful it's never been that bad because I have a few friends who have had it much worse off than me.

I've never had depression, but if anyone here is currently having depression and needs someone to talk to, don't hesitate to see me.

I don't think most people can really relate to clinical depression. No matter how many friends you have or promising projects you could be doing everything seems pointless and no solution seems possible. I have this one online friend who is gorgeous, smart and funny but she cuts herself. It's pretty sad to see people hurting themselves. All you can really do is remind your depressed friends that you are still there. Sometimes they'll climb out of the pit just long enough to be accessible to your help.

I hate to see anyone have to deal with such an awful demon. We all have to face them. I've fought through many myself. If anyone on here needs to vent or confide in someone, or healthy advice, i'm always around.

I'm depressed because there are so many unfairness in this world. It would be great where we can restart our life again or go to another world like "no game no life."

Nope, cant say I have ever suffered from depression. Life itself is a constant struggle and test if you will. It will constantly throw in obstacles to your path, one simply has to overcome them. I guess I recognize this and realize that its not worth it to let an event or a series of events get you down when good things happen all the time just gotta make your way there in a sense.

I like how so many people think depression and temporally being a little sad are essentially one and the same. If a pep talk was all it took to cure depression there wouldn't be dozens of different medications to treat it.

Bi-polar and Manic Depression come in episodes, positive vibes and having someone to confide in never harms anything, and in many cases help people re-stabilize the release of brain chemicals. Medication doesn't always work the way people want it to, considering why there are nearly a hundred different variations right now. Medication also isn't for everyone and can increase the problem. Considering it's hard to prove what helps, many doctors give too high of a dosage, or too low, or just enjoy that fat bonus check. Pep talks don't help everyone, and you're right, if you're feeling sad a lot, you may want to go find well-reviewed doctor, and get an evaluation, it can't hurt.
