Anime with western influences

I really wish there was more anime styled shows that had a more western influence. Like IGPX. The show was great, but it was super western. Of course japan didn't like it.

I think there's plenty, From fullmetal alchemist to kino no tabi to baccano just to name a few. Why would you want more influence? What makes anime great is how different it is from American animation and how unique it is. Americans need to stop being cultural imperialists and learn to respect other cultures, not force their ways on them. I'd have to find a new hobby if they produced more garbage like P&S. Thats what Cartoons are for. If you want cartoon style anime go watch more cartoons and leave anime to be anime. I'm glad when American style trash like Heroman does poorly in japan. we need less of that stuff not more. If anything western animation needs more influence from other cultures not the other way around. It's dated, stagnate, repetitive, and no one takes it seriously. When they do something creative and original that isn't set in generic town USA like avatar people end up call it anime even though it's a cartoon, it so different from the average cartoon that it's hard to believe it was made in a country that turns out the same garbage endlessly. The American comicbook industry for instance hasn't changed in decades while in Japanese there's no limit to the range and variety and originality in manga. The west needs more eastern influences, not the other way around.

I wish there were more western animes as well. I love Panty and Stocking cause the style reminds me of powerpuff girls mixed with invader zim. But speaking of originality, I dont find many animes OR cartoons to be that innovative. Why? Intertexualiy. Everything is inspired by something.

okay... I'll try to make it simple. Anime is a Japanese thing made for Japanese people. If you don't like that then maybe anime isn't for you.

I guess I dind't clairify well enough. I don't mean anime that take place in a westernized setting or such. Eh I dunno, it's hard to explain. Like IGPX was obviously and anime, but the finer details weren't Japanese. And KS was a VN, but not Japanese either. You see where I'm going with this.

Western influences? That's like every anime, everything from big boobs, blonde hair, blue eyes, to attitudes and religious undertones.
