Long Distance Relationship

meijirurouni89
Its worth it. If two people get along great, more power to them. it wouldnt matter to me how many miles we are apart, just to know someone cares out there that i can connect with.

It can work, but there's eventually got to be a plan in place to meet up and actually live near or with each other. Age, maturity, and point in your life play a big part too. I also think both parties need to take the time and effort to visit one another. I did a three hour long distance thing about 10 years ago and I was the one doing all the driving and it got old pretty quick. I understand not everyone has reliable transportation, but if you can't either drive or fly to see them, you shouldn't be seriously considering an LDR imo.

I've been here a long time, I know that it's kind of awkward meeting someone for the first time from the internet. A long distance relationship will give you the chance to connect with the other person better than just meeting up. Plan a day when you will meet up early on, save up and go for it.

Both parties need to be 100% committed to each other or the first person to come up to them close by will cause them to lose interest in the other person or cheat.

I don't consider it a real relationship until after you've spent personal time with the person and know you want to be with them. So much about a relationship is physical (not just looks), including pheromones, how a person reacts to you physically, how they move and the timbre of their voice, the quantity and quality of physical affection (including sex) etc. For example, I don't care how awesome and lovey dovey and romantic everything is online, if the sex sucks...the relationship won't work in the long run unless both persons have almost no sex drive and don't care. Or what if your partner snores really loud? Or stinks? Or if that wonderfully romantic guy online turns out to be an abusive cheater? Or psycho killer? I tend to be jaded and cynical after going through a dozen relationships (in real life, not even online).

I recently got out of a long distance relationship and I've got so say it was fun while it lasted. I think in conclusion it's just not my cup of tea. I don't know all that much about relationships but I do know that there is nothing more sad than feeling lonely when you're with someone. But hey don't let some little kid get you down. Give it a shot. What's the worst that could happen? Mistakes are valuable.

I think it's impossible for me to get any lonely, I think it's worth it if you're ready and in it for the long run
