Were do you think would be the best location? Personally I believe an off distrect in las Vegas Nevada would be the best for tourism and accessiblity. Idea's? Comments? Suggestions?

LA is a cesspool.
San Fran it is then.
So who's going to fund this project?
I only have monopoly money.

Hate to be a downer but nerd culture in the states isn't profitable enough to warrant having our own little akiba. The stuff we like and the culture surrounding it doesn't have nearly as much command of attention, and although most nerds and geeks end up being affluent, our purchasing power is way outclasses by the legions of regular people.
The idea of course is still nice and id love it.

There you go again, being all realistic and stuff! Q_Q
Actually, you're absolutely correct.
The idea would indeed be nice though. ~

Well our "akihabara" is actually downtown LA, or somewhere in NY where I've not been. Downtown LA you get the good their to, yet not all electronics.

yeah i know im sorry, :/
though, even in japan Akiba didnt start this way either, a few shops opened there and did well enough because they situated themselves in the most densely populated area of japan. So by sheer numbers you will get a least enough geeks and nerds to keep your business afloat. More followed and the place gradually got bigger and more recognized. Now its a combo of anime Mecca and giant electronics flea market neither of which would be alive without each other because they work in a symbiotic relationship in which each attracts attention to the other.

Going off what Joseph said, there very well could be several places already like akiba but due to circumstances they are not as well recognized and popular.
Then again Akiba is also a whole district.
Also to clraify, akiba was about electronics first and that caught many nerds and geeks attention. So if you guys really want something like this to be happen here, pick an already well established place where lots of nerds and geeks congregate. Then start spreading otaku culture there.

I would spend epic amounts of money (if I had it) in Akihabara. But I'm more interested in our own Harajuku. Our fashion is so dull compared to the Japanese youth culture.
