How can I overcome my shyness?!

Any time I see a beautiful girl I act way too shy, don't say anything, and miss any type of interaction! I get so mad at myself afterwards. Any advice on how to overcome this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Well do what I do, Stare at her until she stares back.. then SMILE!! :D Be confident even though it is hard sometimes.. Make yourself happy first, what I do is look in the mirror and smile or talk to myself..Its good practice.. I'm shy myself.. or it was rather bad at some point in my life where I never left my room and yeah i didn't sleep or eat.. Get out there and say HI to everyone.. you seem to be doing it right now at this moment when your asking people on here for help.. its not so hard is it? Don't think about it.. you seem to be attractive,(no homo) but no one can say you're not.. You have to believe in yourself, In order to be the best you must tell yourself that you'er the best. (^^)

With most women I've dated I go for the band-aid approach though I haven't had much success with otaku girls. Just speak and don't agonise it with tricks or tactics. Talking is universal. If she's not willing to meet you half way she's not worth your time.

And if she thinks your weird and looks at you disgustingly and walks away dont get discouraged and try try again even though you'll feel totally embarrassed even if she politely excused herself. Trust me like dude said JUST DO IT. You'll get to a point where you won't care anymore.

Just like everyone has already said just go out their and do it, the more you do it the better you get at it and the more natural it happens. People tend to over think what to say and that's how they stumble or freeze. If you have no confidence pretend you do! It will naturally build up as well from pretending to actually having it.

That´s so easy to say, just go and do it... I am a girl and have exactly the same problem with guys, I couldn´t just go and talk to one... I wouldn´t even know, what to say, because i would always think, what would he think of me, if I said this, or that, did that seem weird, what i did? and so on...
