How can I overcome my shyness?!

It's funny that both guys and girls have the same problem with this, I still have issues with overcoming shyness; though it's really just a matter of gathering up enough courage to get up and walk over there. Once your past that part well, just say something complimentary as an icebreaker, then if they don't take the initiative to move the conversation forward you HAVE to move the conversation forward, otherwise it stops there akwardness inbound at light speed. I wouldn't call it easy or simple, and if working up courage doesn't work for you "Pull a Nike, just do it."-cantthinkofabettername; and -sicard95 brought up a few good points about practicing talking to yourself in a mirror(may seem silly but even that may help a little) or just talk more to other people (anyone really it's the human factor there). -jvega summed up my last point nicely, " If you have no confidence pretend you do! It will naturally build up as well from pretending to actually having it."

Okay what you do is.... Say "hey would you maybe not probably maybe so maybe not want to have sex with me"? I'm glad I could be of some help... Hope it works (lord knows I wouldn't try it) xD but nah just be yourself though, if you get turned down then F it, be like pshh you stupid. You become shy once you think about it too much... You just got to amp yourself up, go flip a table or something. #nearlylost's philosophy

@miyako_chan Its never easy i used to be that way but i can say with a level of certainty that i no longer am, why because i stopped over thinking it! If you tense up and start thinking scenarios (by this point your screwed) so just a simple "hey" when you go up to a guy is enough. If you can't think of anything go cliche "So great weather were having" if done right they'll think your hilarious (congratulations you've broken the i've with the most cliche line ever) You will also notice guys are usually more willing to converse if you give them an opening. @karasu you basically summed it all up for us lol, except that staring at the girl sometimes you might come off as creeper so proceed with caution!
