Yeah, there's a small handful of fun people. But they disappear for long periods of time. So it's pretty sad. I will say, compared to other friend finders, this one has yielded actual, long-term friendships. One I've met with IRL and the other who doesn't come on here anymore because of the bots and scammers. :(

I used to be on this site but stopped being online since at least several years back. I joined pre-covid era. This place is desolate and dead. I am perplexed and disappointed that this place devolved into nothing but bots. It used to be very active that I would constantly be in long threads. I barely return today to find nothing worthwhile. How tragic. I thought I'd find my old and new ones too. :(

Wonderful to hear from you! I hope you extend the kindness to yourself, too!
With all the plants in the kitchen where my mother and step-father smoke, they manage to absorb a good amount of the smoke. That doesn't mean there's no risk, of course. So I I have an air purifier and a large fan in the room where they spend most of their time to reduce the risk further.
~~
As for the weight gain, I'm sorting out my meal plan options with my bestie tonight. She does meal prep on Saturday, so hopefully I'll be able to join her.
~~
Yeah... my water intake is kinda bad lately. I just get so busy I don't have time for even a sip. It doesn't help that my abusive mother rations my water to two 8-oz bottles a day. Only reason she can't ration my food is because I manage to get SNAP/EBT from the state with how low my income is right now. Even though I work four jobs right now. It's just not enough to make ends meet. lolol

@Yuu-Chan I hope you and the kittens lungs are okay? I also hope you are able to get to the weight you want, I saw you expand on that further with Shizuku, and even though he already said it, just to reiterate: don’t beat yourself up too much about it! Not saying it isn’t upsetting or disappointing to gain weight when you thought you lost it, it but I hope you have some compassion on yourself as you take medicine cause of sickness and the fact you work hard and do so many things everyday just to survive.
I pray that when I come on someday that you are no longer doing things to simply survive, but you are living life comfortably and healthier than you’ve ever been. ♥️ I hope you were able to build your mini greenhouse? Or at the very least, you know it will be easy to build cause it’s stuff you already have.
Make sure to keep up on your water intake! It’s hot out here and you don’t need to deal with dehydration or heatstroke. As for me, I’m staying cool indoors and drinking plenty of cold water.
@kuharido I’ve been trying to keep up on my punching, but I have no one to hit…unless you are offering my most beloved Ghost Babe?
Floral Mommy ® @wei_ying Thank you, Yuu-Chan! I'm glad the plants are able to absorb most of the smoke for you guys, and that there's extra protection just in case. As for your meal plans, I hope that goes as you planned and that you're able to join your friend! What kinds of foods are you thinking of eating? If that's okay to ask, you aren't obligated to answer that <3. In the most respectful way possible, your mother annoys and bothers me greatly. I'm sorry to hear about that...I mean, I know humans can survive at least a few days without water, but you should be able to drink it whenever you need – either way! I hope you are able to get some water soon. ❤️
yuuzora @yuuzora I haven't discussed the plans with bestie yet, but I wanted to try making homemade curry roux blocks and hand making ramen and udon noodles again. I'm usually thinking this place is pretty safe to share things, so it doesn't bother me to talk about things so openly here. On other places online, I am quiet as a church mouse. I know what awaits me the second I share a diverse opinion of any variety and I'm mentally unstable as it is. I don't need that sort of trouble.
~~
Yeah, my mother is one of those "Christians" who claims to love Christ but follows all these monstrous people who protect abusers over the abused. She sends money to a "prophet" that tells her the earth is flat... She's even started spouting Nazi talking points without pausing to hear herself speak. If I believed such things, I would 1000% believe the voice she claims to hear is the Devil himself and not Jesus. She knows we have nowhere go if she kicks us out. So she uses it as leverage to treat us however she wants. She's thrown hot coffee on me, sharp objects, paint thinner, etc. As a child she'd stabbed me and beat me so badly I'm pretty sure that's why my knee caps didn't develop normally. I did try being homeless before I moved back home(after the nerve disease wrecked my career), but this part of Washington State is not survivable in the winter or summer. So in all honesty, you're being much too nice to her. :(
Floral Mommy ® @wei_ying That sounds delicious! I hope you are able to make the roux blocks and noodles, cause those sound absolutely scrumptious! That is horrible, I'm sorry that you've had to live with someone like that for so long, especially as that being the 'lesser' of two evils for you. Nothing upsets and annoys me more than people who take advantage of other people's situations, that is absolutely atrocious behaviors and extremely narcissistic :(. It's sad to hear, but sadly I'm not surprised, too many people in the Church who claim to love and know Christ have failed their families and communities due to 1: traditions (harmful ones at that) or 2: twisting God's word to benefit their own wants and needs. Again, sadly it's too common nowadays, but God did say in the Bible that many would come in Christ's name but are truly not of His fold or are false teachers. I really pray you are able to escape that place soon and get somewhere safe and cozy, I often here how it can be harder to heal a sick body when you are constantly around the source of the stress. Not saying that you still wouldn't have certain problems with your body, but being around abuse and stuff isn't gonna help the healing process cause it's in constant fight or flight.
yuuzora @yuuzora Yeah, at this point I can really use the prayers. I'm working my ass off to pay my car off so I can rebuild my savings for a tiny house for me, my sister, my brother, and my step-father. I've already got floor plans drawn out. It's just a matter of finding a builder who works with our situation.
Anyway, I hope you're able to side step the fuckers that try to tear you down. I dunno what your plan is, but I believe in you and I know you'll reach success!
As for being Christian. I love the actual teachings of Christ. He seemed like a chill guy who went against the powers of the time to lift people up. Women and disabled people alike. He embodied humility, love, patience, all that good stuff that the world needs more of. In a lot of ways I wish we could just toss out a majority of Old Testament and just teach the things Jesus actually said. And Paul. Paul seemed to really understand what Jesus was trying to say. Anyway... yeah! Here's for more actually Christ-like people. <3
Floral Mommy ® @wei_ying I hope your hard work pays off, you always sound really busy, so I hope you're able to rest soon. Christ really was a chill and good guy! The people he upset the most were his own people lol, but it's cause they had a 'holier than thou' mindset cause they are the Chosen people of God, yet the point they missed in Christ's teachings is that while the Jews/Israelites are the Chosen people by God, Christ still came to die for EVERYONE, and that especially included his own people. The funny thing a lot of Christ's fellow Jews and even modern day Believers forget is that the Old Testament was literally a lesson on how terrible mankind's ways were...that's why everyone was dying left and right is because God was judging man by their own standards, but the New Testament is- but especially Christ's ministry, is what God desires for all people.

yuuzora @yuuzora
I'm so fucking mad at myself right now!!! I thought I was doing well, weight-wise, even though I'm not capable of counting calories(I have really bad dyscalclia, it's like dyslexia but with quantity and numbers) I thought I was at least not eating a lot. I only eat twice a day, and I don't eat huge amounts of anything. Literally just normal proportions. But I still gained 8kg! Like... I can't exercise the way I want because of a shitty nerve disease, three medications cause weight gain, and now I have to cut my food intake even more just to maintain! Like... this is the fucking worst. I now know why people want so badly to relapse on their meds! This weight gain bullshit is merciless. So anyway, just putting it out there... I have to say I'm back at the 93kg I was before. ;n;
Shizuki Okabe @healthy_walrus Please try not to feel like it’s your fault. Weight gain as a result of your medications and ailments isn’t your fault.
yuuzora @yuuzora Aye, you're not wrong. I just wish it wasn't like this. I used to be a really avid hiker. Like days long hikes along the forest and ocean sorta avid. Now I could barely walk 15 mins without risking nerve damage unless it's something like swimming to take the stress off the joints. Anyway, I have to cut my calories more somehow. I can get a little hypoglycemic, but I'm sure I'll be able to configure it. I just gotta cut out most western foods and stick to my Japanese diet as much as my budget can allow(since fish is expensive). Only thing I think I will really miss is cheese. And ain't no way I'm going that vegan route, because vegan cheese is an afront to the lawd and veganaise is by far the most disgusting thing I've ever eaten. And I'm counting nattou, too. Anyway... it still sucks. I know I can do better than this. It isn't healthy to be heavy set like this. So I've gotta do everything I can to mitigate the things I can't do anything about.
Shizuki Okabe @healthy_walrus I see why that’s frustrating for you. Switching from hiking in the forest and seaside to being more cautious even during a small walk. Trying to become healthier is understandable, just remember to also be patient with yourself while doing so. Cheese should be enjoyable. The whole concept of vegan cheese seems like something that was made up as a punishment, and the word veganaise sounds like an insult from a wizard! XD
yuuzora @yuuzora Yeah... just can't shake the feeling I should be doing more. I've come up with the eating twice a day thing, so I'll just half the food portions. I am gonna try to get my bestie to help me with meal prep. I have a bigger kitchen, but she has better baking skills, so I'm sure we'll come up with something.
Yeah, Veganaise is a brand of vegan mayonaise and it tops the charts for most disgusting thing I've ever eaten. And I've eaten raw scorpion(tastes like old, dried out cheddar cheese), nattou(fermented soy beans, tastes like the smell of a garbage can on a hot summer day), and worms(expectedly tastes like dirt, but I made a lot of money for a kid that day.) So anyone who tells me they like veganaise is immediately put into the 'never trust their cooking' list.
Shizuki Okabe @healthy_walrus Yes, I understand what you mean by having the “I need to do more” feeling; however, I hope you won’t go too hard on yourself by halving portions, especially since you’re at risk of developing hypoglycemia. Meal prepping with your best friend, on the other hand, seems like a great way to go about things. Having a larger kitchen area and improved baking skills certainly makes for an awesome party lineup. XD
And it’s rather frightening and impressive how something as terrible as Veganaise is rated even worse than raw scorpions, nattou, and worms!
yuuzora @yuuzora Yeah, if you're brave enough to try Veganaise, I'll be curious to know how much it made you gag. XD
I'll be texting my bestie now to see what day works for her. Probably Saturday, since it's a low work req day, assuming I get everything done on Friday. I keep A LOT of spices and herbs in my kitchen, so I'm gonna see how easy it is to make curry roux blocks for ourselves.
If you're wondering, I grew up in a highly abusive, food-insecure situation. I learned to make my own bow and arrows to hunt snakes and quail at like 9 just to try and put food on the table. I also stole from the grocery store, not proud of the fact, but it's a truth nonetheless. So that's part of where my adventurous foods came from, and probably a bad relationship with food in general.... Did you have a good upbringing? Any siblings?
Shizuki Okabe @healthy_walrus If I have to psychologically prepare myself before eating Veganaise, that cannot be called food anymore XD. Homemade curry roux blocks sound very appealing indeed. And I am really sorry that you had to go through such an ordeal in childhood. Having to hunt, steal or just make ends meet at nine is quite a burden for any child. I do not blame you for what you had to do to survive. But about myself, I have a younger brother. I have both positive and negative things to say about my childhood, but nothing like you described.
yuuzora @yuuzora Lolol. I really would rather eat drywall mud than Veganaise.
Yes, the roux blocks are easy enough to make, but it takes at least 30 mins of constant stirring. And I prefer hand ground spices, which takes a longer time. I do have a coffee grinder I can use to break the big stuff down and a mortar and pestle to break it down to a powder. Don't worry, I clean the fuck outta the coffee grinder before and after each use so the spice and coffee don't mix unless I want them to. (spiced coffee is amazing, if you haven't tried it. My preferred mix is cardamam, fennel seed, cinnamon, and nutmeg)
Yeah, my childhood was fucked. Basically in every way one could think of. But anyway! Aw, I'm glad you have a baby brother. It's an absolute pain to be the oldest(I'm only 3/5, lost me brother in the rebel war though, so it's just 4 now) but there's nothing more rewarding when they turn out alright. Are you close with your brother? Sorry to hear you've had to deal with hardships, too. I don't like to play the Pain Olympics. Suffering is suffering. The only thing I can ask of people going through anything, is to grow from their experiences.
yuuzora @yuuzora BTW, are you a memer? And how dark is your sense of humor? I have to ask before I get myself into trouble. lol
Shizuki Okabe @healthy_walrus Drywall mud better than veganaise is a strong review, noted I'll stay far away from it. XD Curry roux made at home with spices ground by hand sounds great, although the constant stirring seems like a workout for the arm under the guise of food preparation. Spiced coffee also sounds really delicious. Cardamom, fennel seeds, cinnamon, and nutmeg sounds interesting I might have to try it the most I've ever put in my coffee is cinnamon and nutmeg for that cozy fall feeling. Exactly, and I do think the same. I'm not one for the Pain Olympics, either. Pain is pain, regardless of how everyone's experience looks, and the best that people can do is learn from it and not let themselves become anything else because of that. Speaking of my brother, well, like with every sibling, it is likely that there is a certain amount of chaos in the relationship dynamics, but he is my brother nonetheless. I would have to say that yes, I am indeed a memer. My sense of humor tends to get pretty dark, and I'm really hard to offend. lol
yuuzora @yuuzora Hmhm. The spices I decided for the roux blocks are cardamom, turmeric, cumin, chili flakes, onion, garlic, ginger, curry leaves, basil, and dried lemon. Should be nice and bright and go well with any sort of base, though I prefer greek yogurt, since it's thicker and has lots of good stuff in it. Have you ever had a curry with tomatillo instead of tomato? That's what I'm planning on, though I haven't tried it before myself.
Yeah, I can't stand people who always have to one up people on their painful experience. My mother is that sort of person. You can stub your toe in real time and she'll tell you hers is worse, even though you're not even talking to her. I'm sure you've known people like that?
Lolol. Sibling chaos, indeed. We do talk regularly, but honestly my baby sister usually only initiates contact when she needs to borrow money from me or oldest sister. XD
Yas, I'll send ya some good memes as I find them. My sense of humor is so dark I'm pretty sure I'm in the 8th circle of Hell for it. I can keep jokes light, but the dark ones are just more relatable.
Shizuki Okabe @healthy_walrus It does sound very delicious. The idea of using a Greek yogurt base works pretty well because of its thickness and added filling. As for the curry made from tomatillos rather than tomatoes, I have never tried that before, but it sounds rather intriguing. In my opinion, the tartness would work great with the spices in it, especially in combination with dried lemon. This might turn out to be an experiment that would become a favorite. I’ve definitely known people who treat suffering like a competition. It’s exhausting. The sibling madness is real. And yes, I can use some memes. If your humor is already in the 8th circle of Hell, I may as well bring snacks and see what the place looks like.
yuuzora @yuuzora Hmhm. That's what I was hoping. I won't know until maybe next weekend due to the migraine basically taking me out like a train hitting a sedan. Do you have any favorite recipes? I've got a buncha history memes. I'll probably just post them on your pf so you can find'em easier and anyone more offended can eat dirt. I haven't been doing my PT exercises, but that's because I'm doing so much other physical work that I'm too tired once I get to it. I would love to take a shower after, but it's pointless because I just have to get up and do it all over again basically all day at this point. Sorry also, that when I'm in pain I tend to ramble incoherently. Luckily the pain level hasn't been above like a 6. I do have a stupid high pain tolerance, so that can be a problem. How about you?
Shizuki Okabe @healthy_walrus A migraine taking you out like a train hitting a sedan is painfully vivid. I hope it eases up soon. As for favorite recipes, I’m more of a savory dinner-meal person. Stuff like baked meats, potatoes, casseroles, pasta, rice dishes, or anything hearty and filling. I’m not much of a fancy dessert person. I’d rather make something that feels like an actual meal. Don’t stress too much about going off on a tangent. Pain affects everyone’s mind in some way or another. Coming back from all that hard work during your entire day, Physical Therapy must feel like a side mission your body didn’t sign up for. My pain tolerance is decent, but I’m also guilty of ignoring things longer than I should.
yuuzora @yuuzora Oh, here I was waiting for you to reply. It was me that was the turkey. Sorry about that. Doesn't help that a migraine on top of wisdom tooth pain is royally fucking with my whole month. Seriously this migraine hasn't let up once since it started.~~~~
Nice. My bestie is a savory sort of person, too. She's the one that made her own alfredo pasta from scratch. It's really high cal and high salt, though, so we can't make it except for special occasions. Of course, I can't stomach the taste of alfredo in general no thanks to my Job Corps days ruining a lot of foods for me. I do wonder where you got your training for your current job?
~~~~
Yeah, I do really like PT, I just can't do as much as I'd like to. Especially when I'm already in excruciating pain from all the other physical activity I do in a day. If you've even felt a bone grinding on a bone within your own body, that's pretty much what it is most of the time.~~~~
That's the crux of having high pain tolerance. You go longer than you should and do more damage to yourself as a result. If you've got the ginger gene, it also means pain meds and anesthesia doesn't work the same for us. You can even build up tolerances to medication doses that used to work. That's what I'm finding out the hard way. I can only imagine what sort of sorry shape my liver is in as a result of the high doses of meds I have to take just to sleep at night. If you're comfortable getting into that, what sort of pain reduction has been working for you?
Shizuki Okabe @healthy_walrus No worries, Yuu. Migraine and wisdom tooth pain is definitely not fun. Seems like that is too much to handle. Homemade Alfredo sounds amazing though. I'm sorry Job Corps messed that up for you. Food trauma seems to be quite a strong thing. In regards to my job, most of the training was hands-on. It's been almost five years since I started fabrication, and the majority of that knowledge has come from doing things in the shop. As for reducing pain, no magic tricks, unfortunately. Majority of the time, just trying not to overwork my back, stretching sometimes and resting when I can.
yuuzora @yuuzora Luckily, the migraine has lifted along with the wildfire smoke. So I'm able to get a lot more work done.
~~~~ Lol. Calling it food trauma makes a lot of sense here. The ever lovely food poisoning was so prevalent we called it 'The Jobbie Flu". It was as awful as it sounds.~~~~
Preventing injury is more important that healing it, so that's a good approach. I wonder, Are you taking anything for pain or do you have access to a clean bathtub? I wonder how your magnesium levels are? Do you take collagen?
Shizuki Okabe @healthy_walrus Happy to hear your migraine got better, Yuu. “The Jobbie Flu” sounds terrifying. Common food poisoning that gets its own name is not good XD. As for pains. I don’t take anything regularly, just some over-the-counter painkillers if needed. And since I do have a tub, hot baths with Epsom salt are one of the famous options I use when my back is giving me trouble. I also take collagen peptides as they are. No clue about magnesium levels, though.
yuuzora @yuuzora Ah yes, a proper bath is one of the best things you can do. If I had access to one, I'd take it every night like I did when I lived with me nan. She used oatmeal and a lavender oil to soothe us little ones so we'd sleep. As brief as it was, it was some of the good memories. Did you ever get to know your grandparents?~~~~
Good to hear you're able to take collagen. If you're taking the collagen types 5 through 10, you should see a lot of joint and muscle improvement along with mobility stretches. If you've ever heard of nih.gov, you can look up the NSAID or pain med you're taking to read how it works on pain. If you know the source of your pain(like the difference between joint, bone, and muscle pain), and you read how the medicines work, you can select one that really works for you. Currently I'm on acetaminophen(tylenol) to take the edge off some joint and muscle pain in my neck. I have to get my liver checked once a year because the level I take can toxify the liver over time. Part of why I'm not much of a drinker anymore, despite being Irish. Are you much of a drinker? ~~~~~
As for magnesium, if you eat a lot of leafy greens like spinach, your magnesium should be good. But if you don't, your magnesium levels could be low. Magnesium helps with nerve and muscle function as well as heart and bone. So if you're cleared for taking it, it can help with recovery from workouts, physical labor, and things of that nature that make muscles and joints sore. I am thinking of starting it as well, but I have to clear it with my dr first since my anti-psychotic works in such a way, I have to avoid certain supplements.
Shizuki Okabe @healthy_walrus Those oatmeal and lavender baths with your nan sound really sweet, especially as one of those rare peaceful childhood memories. I don't have such stories with my grandparents, but I believe these little recollections stay in mind and shape one's experience. As for drinking, I used to drink more, but now that I work out, I keep alcohol pretty minimal. However, I may have an occasional bourbon or something lol. That’s good to know about magnesium too, because I actually eat spinach leaves in my eggs pretty much every day. So hopefully I’m not doing too badly there. XD Collagen peptides, however, I believe it has types 1, 2, 3, 5, and 10. But I would need to double-check the container.
yuuzora @yuuzora Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. Having good grandparents has some strange but interesting scientific backing for improving quality of life. I'm sorry you were not able to get that experience. Did you have any elderly guidance figures in your life at any point? ~~~~~
Hmhm. Can't pass up a good bourbon or some umeshu(Japanese plum wine) Though admittedly, I think April was the last time I drank, because I drive so often, it isn't really feasible, anyway.~~~~ If you're eating a decent amount of it every morning, then it's more than likely enough. So you don't have to worry about magnesium levels.
Shizuki Okabe @healthy_walrus Unfortunately. As far as wise old mentors go, not really in a definite sense. I've been taught some stuff along the way by different people, particularly in terms of my experiences both at work and in life. Oh, and yeah, it is pretty difficult to refuse a nice bottle of bourbon once in a while. Umeshu seems like a great choice. I don't think I've ever tried anything like Japanese plum wine. Is it more sweet, tart, or somewhere in between? It’s good to know that spinach eggs are taking care of my magnesium intake. At least one of my habits is accidentally responsible.
yuuzora @yuuzora Aw, that is sad to hear. There's nothing quite like the experience of being grandmothered.~~~~ Good umeshu is a balanced, sweet, fruity, and almost a vermouth-like smoothness. It goes will with most Japanese cuisine and I actually prefer it to most kinds of sake. I had an aunt that used to make umeshu with Irish grown green plums. It was one of the best I ever tasted. Of course I should clarify, in Irish culture drinking is just part of life. So kids are introduced to it quite young. That whole give 'em a thimble when they're teething is apparently true. Gekkeikan is a good brand you can find in US, if you ever want to try it. It's not expensive, either.~~~ You workout, you try to eat well, and you take a proper bath. That's pretty responsible for your health, actually. So you're doing better than you think you are. :)
Shizuki Okabe @healthy_walrus That description of umeshu actually makes it sound really good. Sounds like something I’d probably enjoy, especially with Japanese food. The Irish-grown green plum version your aunt made sounds amazing too. And yeah, I’ve heard Irish culture can be pretty casual about drinking being part of life. Irish Coffee is a famous example. XD I’ll have to keep Gekkeikan in mind if I ever want to try umeshu without committing to something too expensive. Also, I appreciate you saying that. Those are very sweet words, Yuu.
yuuzora @yuuzora Hmhm. Recently got Gekkeikan from the wine section for about $20 for a 750ml bottle. I keep it on hand if I have unexpected guests over. Which isn't often, but sometimes my baby sister will stop by unannounced. She generally only requests that I make her some washoku(japanese cooking) and having a tasty wine with that is quite nostalgic for us. So I hope you'll like it. ~~~~ Hmhm. My granddad used to have a glass of a rose julep in the morning before work. If I remember right, he used gin, because his sister made the gin herself for the whole village. So it was an easier ingredient to afford the bourbon.~~~~ Nah, I'm not sweet. I'm actually a buncha feral orange cats in a trench coat. It's just an observation. What sort of exercise do you enjoy doing most? Do you go to a gym or do you workout at home?~~~~
Shizuki Okabe @healthy_walrus Hmhm, a $20 bottle that pairs well with homemade washoku sounds like a pretty good thing to keep around. That’s such a nice little hosting move. What kind of washoku does she usually ask you to make? Also, your granddad having a rose julep before work sounds like something I can get behind. ‘Bunch of feral orange cats in a trench coat’ still counts as sweet if the observation was kind lol. For exercise, I usually enjoy lifting the most. I go to the gym and do a mix of weights, bodyweight stuff, and some cardio. As for days I don't feel like going to the gym, I have a home setup.
yuuzora @yuuzora When she can, my baby sister loves my tuna tataki(like a seared tuna steak), miso soup(because I add enoki mushrooms), and yakyudon(fried udon). Not a nutritious meal, but tasty. I'm hoping to be able to show her how to make ichijuu sai, since that's the diet principle I'm going to try to stick from now on. Luckily it still contains a soup, usually miso soup, so she should still like it.~~~~
Nice. Sounds fun. I do hear lifting heavy things is an almost meditative experience. I only ever did that stuff for my job in construction. Can't do any of it now because of the nerve disease. Still sorting out how to exercise. A friend mentioned yoga resistance bands, so I'll try that and see how it goes. BTW, was there anything particular that started that weird quarrel you had with that muppet on the MO feed earlier? o_O
Shizuki Okabe @healthy_walrus Yeah, tuna tataki, miso soup with enoki, and fried udon all sound really good. Maybe not perfect nutrition textbook food, but definitely comfort food. XD The ichijuu-sai idea sounds like a good middle ground too, especially if it still keeps miso soup in the rotation for her. Lifting can definitely feel meditative in a weird way. Move the heavy thing, breathe, don’t die lol. Resistance bands sound like a smart place to start though, especially if you need something lower impact that won’t aggravate the nerve issues too much. Basically, he got upset because a user on the site told him she didn’t like being called hun, dear, or sweetie. Instead of just saying ‘fair enough,’ he took it personally, acted like she was saying he couldn’t be himself, then made a few public posts implying she’s single because of her attitude and that he "dodged a bullet". I just called out that it was misleading. Not really trying to be a hero or anything, I think if someone sets a simple boundary, the mature answer is to respect it and move on. Then he hid his activity and hit me with the classic ‘white knight’ line, because apparently that’s easier than self-reflection. XD
yuuzora @yuuzora Ah, people who use 'sweetie' and 'hun' towards girls only typically only want to subjugate us for their own gain. So I don't like being called pet names either, unless someone is from the south and uses it for everyone. Glad you said something, as well. Had I seen it, I would've done the same. Though I probably wouldn't be so nice. ^^; I hope they'll actually be able to self-reflect but I doubt it. Guys like that will blame everyone else for their failings but themselves. Like they've never head that parable about the person who steps in dog shit and thinks everyone smells like shit but themselves. :(

Happy 4th/Independence Day, my lovelies! I have wifi today due to a neighbor, so I thought to come check in on everyone and see how y'all are doing.
I'm sorry to hear about your tabby passing away @yuuzora and the fires/heatwave you've had to survive through, but I'm happy you're still here fighting and got to enjoy a nice BBQ after a rough time ^^. Don't be worried about me over here though! My family and I are doing just fine in this heat (fans and ac are on constantly)– heck! We've been sitting outside in this weather to work on our tans XD, but today was rainy and we've been having fun with the neighbors watching fireworks. As for food though, God has truly been faithful and has provided a way for our mom to buy what we need daily, as well as using our neighbors kindness to help us even though they don't know we need it. We enjoy a delicious polish sausage hotdog, Mac and cheese with French fries for dinner today!
@healthy_walrus Thank you, my dearest knight. I pray your days continue to be blissfully quiet and hope against hope that your work load will become at least somewhat lighter than what you said you've experienced lately. While the bots may have become bold in my absence, I have the most dedicated of people still here who fight on my behalf to keep us free from these bodyless beings. <3
@sakurakiss It's also been a bit strange not to log in everyday, even if it's just to momentarily check on everyone. Thank you for the well wishes! I have been trying to do better at self-care...and it's definitely a process, but I'm nowhere near being in a slump like how I was in the past, so one step at a time, y'know? I'm sure you have finished organizing things with your aunt? It sounds relaxing, I like doing stuff like that ‐ but then again, I'm someone who finds almost anything relaxing XD. I love you very much and miss you too, Kura-Chan. <3————————
————————————————————————————
@gabriel_true I still don't have wifi, my dearest Gabby, but I am very touched that you all miss me so dearly. Like, I do believe that all of you love me and care for me...but it's so surreal that there are people out there that genuinely miss me so much, y'know? And miss what I have to say too, whether it's just randomly talking or me having my sappy/encouragement moments, cause I don't think I'm someone that's the most eloquent person or even the one that has anything of genuine substance to say...in real life I have trouble finding my words just like my mama, but I tend to write letters when I can't say everything I want to, which is probably why I find it easier to write to everyone the way I do here, those are my genuine thoughts and deepest feelings towards ALL of you: to be happy as one can be in a world like ours and to be prosperous in all that you do. Now, this message will be long, but oh well! As for your recent blessings ‐ I'm so very happy to hear that the LORD God has provided for you! I always pray that He takes care of my friends just as He has done this family of mine, so whenever I log in to see or hear you guys being suddenly provided for or just finding peace where you are in life, it truly touches me because it's like God is reminding me He hears me through you all <3. I also don't think you're trying to garner sympathy...and even if so, I don't think it's all too bad? Sometimes you need to be vulnerable and just want to have someone understand, which isn't an issue, I'm just thankful that I apparently seem to be that person for a lot of you here. I think you are absolutely deserving of it, simply because of the fact you aren't seeming to be prideful about this sudden gift. Trust me...I understand how you can feel unworthy- and in a way, all of us technically are (not saying it to be a downer), as that's the whole story of the Bible: we sin greatly and all take, take take, but it ultimately isn't us who chooses who is deserving of what, it's God's decision. Maybe He trusts you to receive such a great financial blessing rn, which is a very exciting thing! Especially as my own family have been waiting our whole lives to be financially stable - but, God still has us in a season of trusting Him, so it's what we will do cause one day He'll move on our finances. As for you not living up to the man other's think you are or should be - I understand ^^. But everyone is like that. I say that not to make less of how you feel, but to remind you you are never alone in how you feel. I too have sometimes felt like a fraud cause people always have seen me as a cheerful person who loves unconditionally- but the reality is that I'm just human like anyone else. ALL credit to how I care and love the way I do is to God and Jesus, because on my own I am just as bitter and angry as the next human lol. I've just always prayed for God to keep my heart and to give me the willingness to want to be kept, which is the key thing about our relationship with Christ: willingness. So, I pray you are ALWAYS willing to grow better as we all are through Christ Jesus, Gabby, and just know that this blessing was meant for YOU. Also, thank you. As I've said before...I never truly think that what I say is important or holds weight on other people's hearts, but I'm grateful that whatever it is that I've said has been able to be encouraging or helpful to you. I'm so happy you got this monetary blessing and I pray all my other friends bank accounts are just as blessed as yours has been, I love you very much!
Floral Mommy ® @wei_ying Thank you, Yuu-Chan! I love you and thank you for leaving me such lovely messages. ❤️
yuuzora @yuuzora Always, matey. I'm glad to hear you're doing okay. Though through trials and tribulations, you maintain dignity and compassion. Those things are incredibly important to maintain in this day and age. I wish you continued success in your mission. I'm sure whatever you're working on will turn out well.
Floral Mommy ® @wei_ying I’m always thankful I end up better than expected too, I really appreciate your lovely messages though! I enjoy reading them when I come back ♥️. Not saying it doesn’t get hard sometimes…even if it’s just mentally or emotionally, but I have been through enough to understand feeling the things I feel are perfectly okay, but it’s truly no proper excuse to forget compassion for others just because I’m struggling. It’s the way I was raised and taught, and even when it’s hard, I’ve seen it do good in my life and others, so I’m just thankful I can still spread kindness and love despite my circumstances. Thank you for the well wishes! I know it will turn out just fine, I just gotta try to stay on path.

I can't stand those people. It's not even good marketing to slide into dms begging for comms. I usually yell at them a little then teach them how good marketing actually works. I'm a comms artist myself, so I took it upon myself to learn some stuff from YouTube and random marketing blogs.
I've never commissioned people like this so I can't comment on if they're any good. Definitely don't hesitate to block them, and report them if you feel like they are scammers or Ai slop users.

Occasionally ive been getting nonstop friend requests from a bunch of people who are alleged "artists". They will add you on discord talk to you for a bit then ask about an OC and if you would like it commisioned.
Has anyone actually bought a commission from one of these bystanders and if you did was it real or just ai slop?
On another note can we start banning these people? They are obviously scammers and catfishers
Campari @mishi00 Yeah ive been doing that everytime its pretty sad honestly how many have been popping up, im always excited to meet new people so I get a drop of disappointment whenever I know its one of them
yuuzora @yuuzora Yeah, I can understand the feeling. It's either bots, scammers, both or people who have no clue what the fuck they want. It's why I have a rule of not accepting requests from someone who hasn't introduced themselves in the slightest or if they don't regularly interact with any of my peeps, moots, or other. Luckily there are genuine people on here, even if they're hard to find. I hope they're worth the time it takes to sift through all the aforementioned iijits.
Campari @mishi00 I think I remember you did the same to me xD I dont blame you honestly I know people are shy sometimes thou xD
yuuzora @yuuzora Are you sure you mean me? I don't have a friend request from you, or messages, and I don't see you on my Discord.

Ahoy everyone, just a little Patreon update. You can join for free to see it for yourself. Being a member helps me to reach new people, so even the free range does a lot of good for what I'm trying to do.

Ah interesting. I meet many people who don't like tea, largely because they've only had that cheap cut grass called Lipton. lol. I know many people dealing with bpd, it is a lot of work to manage it. Do you feel like you're managing it well currently?

Read your profile. I don’t like tea, but I do have borderline personality disorder as a mental health condition that has affected my life in many ways.

Depends what you'll like. I really like The Hu(A Mongolian Metal band), Alien Weaponry(A Maori Metal Band), Bloodywood(A Punbaji Metal band), and Baby Metal(Japanese Metal Band) lately.

Anyone have some good metal band suggestions? Greatly appreciate any groups formed AFTER 2000. Anything prior, I most likely know, lol.
Thanks!

Yesterday we had to say goodbye to my sweet ginger boi Teddy. There's nothing in the world that can ease that pain. But as a surprise for my little brother, I'm creating a Kofi Service for a limited time. The donations will all go to him on July 9th(his birthday) to ease the financial debt he incurred trying to save our precious kitty cat. In exchange for a donation, you will get a drawing of one or more of your pets with a simple background.
