Do you mean taking into account the person's play style? Granted whoever plays the game may create a different fictional character, personal plot line and team in each game, but the basic story is exactly the same (just change red villains for blue villains and get a few game specific Pokemon). All games can be unique and different in each play through if you think up a different character and react a different way. I'm currently playing Oblivion for the first time in a couple of years, but this time I'm going Khajiit for the first time!

All they do is swap out the villains, and use Pokemon that aren't in the other game to force parents to buy the same game twice because their kid wants all the Pokemon.

I have the normal Sun and Ultra Moon. I see little point in having both versions. I used to buy both versions, but you're pretty much playing the same game twice.
