Seems like its time for a break

Tomorrow will be my mother's 66th birthday. She's been invited by her half-nephew, who himself is 78, to spend the day with his family. His father, who was my mother's half-brother, passed a number of years back. Though her half siblings had openly admitted to wanting zero to do with us because of the man my grandfather was, this estranged nephew has no such hang-ups especially given how he himself is not long for this world. Hopefully it will go well. My mother has next to no family left to speak of aside from her younger brother in Taiwan and another older brother in Texas. Once they pass that will leave only my cousins and their children. They of course aren't interested in keeping in touch. So she's just going to have to make do, hmhm.

They still talking about it? The science is already out saying that virus is common and easily treated. It isn't passed through the air making the spread much slower. People really wishing for a sequel to COVID. Bat rhymes with rat, but aside from that there really ain't much else here to catch. That said I am a firm believer that cruise ships are a waste of time and money as well as being a floating death trap. If I was going to set sail for adventure to find the One Piece I'll gladly board my own privately manned vessel supplied with heaping helpings of Elpis just in case one of the crew members becomes a biohazard upon the high seas!
