Ahh I see. But yeah Popful Mail is a pretty old game it was on the Sega CD which was probably what people say was one of Sega's biggest failures. xD But it had some great games on it like the Lunar franchise(Which i'm a fan of), Time Gal and i've heard Snatcher is really good too! Hideo Kojima created it. Popful Mail was an action Side Scroller RPG i played a bit of it. It's quite fun but challenging.

I think this, the 9th one and a few more are on switch but idk about the performance, i know this one had horrible porting at the start until they fixed it a lot later, 9th one was a smash hit on steam. Oh wow never heard of popful Mail but I guess thats the predcessor of ys by the looks lol

I mean i give em kudos for translating in general out of passion. I used to be big into Visual Novels and seeing translation bar go up every week or so was exciting for sure. Idk if itll ever het ported over to the PS Store or if theirs certain licensing isssues/ other stuff going on. Hopefully one day it gets the Vesperia treatment, funny enough Vesperia had a fan translation group that was 80% done when the trailer showed. Ys has come so far but so has tales, they're coming out with the 10th one maybe september in JP at least I believe. Its pretty popular due to nightmare diffcult drop kicking you in the balls.

Oh yeah dude there's some fan translations out there for Tales of Phantasia for Super famicom and PS1. I've played the Super famicom version years ago it's by this group named Dejap they're uhhhh... not the most professional when it came to fan translating games. XD They kind of made parts up at times(Admittedly there's one scene in Tales of Phantasia that cracks me up the way they translated it lol) but they did keep the spirit of the original. It's a great game though the original that is. The Ps1 fan translation is much better and closer to the original Japanese of Tales of Phantasia. There is actually a psp port which supposedly the best version it's fully voiced but it's only japanese sadly. I want to play that at some point once i improve my japanese more. As for Ys, i've heard about the series for years but i never got a chance to pick up a game unfortunately.
