So I started watching or I guess rather re-watching an anime I used to really enjoy back in my high school years called Shadow Skill. No idea if it's obscure? But mannnnn... It's SO much better than I remember it. Definitely an anime from the 90's but I just love that style of animation and the character designs I absolutely adore.

永遠のルナ一 @eternallunar1 More or less the same since I'm on winter break. Although, recently I have been studying some Japanese, and I have a LP channel on youtube actually. That's the only thing that' new with me. xD

永遠のルナ一 @eternallunar1 I'm currently studying hiragana, katakana, and some Kanji here and there. Mostly basic vocabulary just to get the hang of things. I borrowed this very neat Japanese picture book which has like lots of vocab which is very informative from what I can tell.

Neverland @dakoya That's what I mean. A few OGs still around w/ some new faces, but I think the feel will be the same.. except if you were from before 2014 or something like that... I think that time was when online sites like this might've been much more active.
永遠のルナ一 @eternallunar1 Yeah, I joined around last summer or so. And you're probably right about online sites being much more active in the past. I actually used to be a part a few guilds and RP forums on this online social site called Gaia many eons ago.It was very active around 2009, but eventually less so.
Neverland @dakoya I have definitely heard about Gaia. I think it was more of a gamer site though... in my old view at least. Personally I was really active in Crunchyroll back in 2006-2013 or so... Most people have just gotten older and moved on in life. I'm not sure where the youth hangs out nowadays... perhaps on apps and online games more than social sites.
永遠のルナ一 @eternallunar1 There were games on Gaia definitely. They were kinda ehhh nothing special. Like they had a Halloween event on gaia, it was called ZOMG. And it's like you can fight against other players/ monsters and you can gain items. I guess it was sorta RPGish? But it was a very laggy game. But yeah, I know of Crunchyroll. I have an account, but not like a subscription or anything. I've never been around the forums myself either.
And yeah, I'm sure youths around around mobile games and apps since they're very popular and stuff. Actually mobile gaming has advanced a lot over the years interestingly enough.
Neverland @dakoya That's true, but I haven't heard of anything really big on the mobile gaming platform yet. I mean we did have like flappy bird, clash of clans and angry birds and the like... but i don't know if I consider them intense games. This leads me to think about how dating has changed so much since a decade or two ago... Most people seem to be using apps or websites nowadays. It's kind of sad to see bars, clubs and the like become less popular.
永遠のルナ一 @eternallunar1 Fire Emblem heroes was probably the closest I thought was kinda fun. I thought it was a pretty polished game for mobile. Though, it's more like one of those Gatcha games. Where you collect characters from the entire game series both past and present. Unfortunately I felt, it got old after awhile. But I think it's still pretty popular now? Fans still play it, but ehhh... maybe I'm indifferent to it?
And yeah, I agree dating has changed tremendously. The same could be said about technology and how there's very little human interaction in our society these days. Or at least from what I've observed over the years. Everywhere I go, I always see people always on their phones, Ipads, smartphones constantly. Small businesses can't complete with online websites such as Amazon or Ebay because you can buy everything online. ToysRus went out of business awhile back. It's sad because I used to love that store a lot when I was a kid.
But I think in a way, there's some good about technology. Like, for example one of the main reasons why I sought friendships online with communities in my past years is that I knew no one aside from my friends at the time who liked video games or anime as much as I did at the time. Sure, I had a few friends with whom I could talk to about series we liked. But no one liked the same stuff I liked. Online communities like gaiaonline for me, was a great way to connect to people all over the world where you could gush over your favorite series. Like Fire Emblem, I'd consider myself a pretty big fan of the franchise. But back when I was in high school, it wasn't as popular as it is now. xP

So letting everyone know who does read my posts in advance, but I've decided to take a very long hiatus from MO which means I'll be deactivating my account. Unfortunately I will not be taking part in Inktober anymore in the thread for those who have paid attention to my art or have enjoyed my stuff in the art doodles. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for the few likes and supports that I got. It was fun for a good while, but I'm taking this opportunity to expand my horizons and to do other things with my time. Also, I've dealing with life struggles lately and MO has preoccupied most of my time. Though I do not show it, in reality I feel deep down I frustrated that I haven't grown all that much or been as productive as I could've been. Anyways, with all of that said I suppose my journey has begun from this point on. Farewell for now, MO.
