Yes i have seen samurai x, and im divided among trust and betrayal, and reflections. Trust and betrayal tells the origin of kenshin beautifully and turns it more into a drama but it works because of their tragic love story. As for reflections, it loosly covers jinchu and tells its own story from there, watching kaoru fall apart and kenshin die were hard for me. It didnt feel right to end it like that and didnt explain enough. At the time it came out had i have seen it i wouldve been scratching my head. Having read the manga first thankfully i understood what had happened. I also saw samurai x the movie, the bad adv dub (count how many different ways they screw up sano's name.) And ive seen the new kyoto arc (save for the scene with usui, shishio, and yumi, i have fewer problems with it. The music in the new kyoto arc is remastered versions of the music from season 2 and it sounds gorgeous. Wouldve been nice to bring all the old english voice actors back but ah well. Was kind of hoping the live action movies would cover jinchu also but they didnt so... xD yep.

I actually had to rewatch it a few years ago because i saw it on toonami but missed it on adult swim because i was kind of boycotting it at the time because of the weird shows they aired. But the manga i started right out of high school. That got me back into it hardcore. XD

Yeah sano kicked alot of butt. Even in the live action movies. XD the manga gave him a mini arc where he actually goes back home and meets his family again and he actually runs into gohei and his brother. His relationship with his dad is actually alot like ichigo from bleach. lol. The 3rd season of the anime gave sano his own tales too like the dog episode or the arc with that preistess. It showed different sides to him than being the tough guy.
