Another method is to utilize a technique called free-writing. Basically, you set a timer and you just write whatever comes to your mind and you don't stop until the time is over, no matter what. Believe it or not, it does at the very least help some writer's block. The other thing is sometimes taking a break is good too, and coming back later. No point in trying to force yourself. You'll get nowhere doing that. Just a couple of ideas.
