I think it's a sweet idea :) You would be shearing an experience doing something that's a significant part of your (and hopefully their own) identity. I think if anything it would help make the relationship stronger.

In my case, I like bands like Whitechapel, Ingested, ACRANIA, Chelsea Grin, Science of Sleep, I Shall Devour, Impending Doom, Lorna Shore, Betraying the Martyrs, Born Of Osiris, Eat A Helicopter, Emerson, Fit For An Autopsy, Osiah, Face Your Maker, Ghoulchapel...
