i just hate how unfair guns are with swords you have to be skilled and its hand to hand. i mean you can get sniped from miles away you have no chance at all i think war would be epic if it was swords and bows like game of thrones what do you guys thinks swords or guns

Swords are more honorable.
Skill can be applied to the use in guns. There is nothing like Epic gun battles.
and nothing easier than throwing a grenade at a group of attackers to even the odds.
But personally a fight were your opponent shows his worth in battle is what i prefer.
Sniping someone cause you think or know they will kick your ass seems kind of cowardly to me.
If it has to be guns i say a good old fashioned shoot out. 1on1 or 2on1 2on2 but anymore than that is bullying and we are against that now ^+^
A war where guns were outlawed, only swords and bows would be better than the wars we have now.

Swords? Honorable? That's a really dangerous way of thinking.
I do kendo, iaido, kenjutsu, and kung fu. Ive studied english longsword, german longsword, and historical fencing. I've fought in matches and sparred with many practitioners and i can tell you right now, had the fights been real and to the death i would have much preferred having a gun aimed at my opponent.
Anime, manga, fantasy, and literature have romanticized the sword and the honorable duel and they have fetishized the sword, but let me tell you there isn't anything honorable about killing and learning to kill. The whole reason why these styles and combat systems even exist is because people needed them to fight off others, project influence so that their country could be in control and prevent future wars, or simply to survive.
The reason why every art teaches honor, discipline, self improvement, self control, and the respect and adoration of those previous values is that without them you'll break down when you finally realize what a monster you've become, or you'll just be a mindless killer out to immaturely prove their strength. When you get to the point where you're capable and competent in your art you will NEVER want to use it EVER and you'll even feel a bit of guilt for learning because it makes you realize how precious life actually is.
Given the choice i would rather use a gun and end the fight quickly.
But if i was given the choice to not fight at all? I wouldn't fight.
In the true way of the sword there needn't be a sword at all.

I would learn martial arts to use for non-lethal defense. (I'm too poor for regular lessons though I have takes karate, Taekwondo, And Aikido for a semester at a time, not enough to use effectively). But a gun is far more effective if you have no choice to kill.

What im trying to say is that its dangerous to think swords or weapons at all are epic and honorable. We attach a certain allure and mystique to them but its just a way of killing. People took the values associated with martial arts (which were put there to stop you from becoming a monster) and over hyped them, took them to the extreme, fetishized them.
What does that create? a legion of boys and young men longing to become heroes and embody the values they see. People may think that's good but it makes them behave like competitive asshats that objectify everyone around them and relegate them to roles in their mind as opposed to finding deep connections and intimacy.
This makes people ignore the original point at all. To end a fight quickly if it ever happened and make it such that you'd never have to fight at all.
