As far as I know its a fairly painless and quick procedure. They numb your eyes and the whole procedure is about 10-20 minutes at most. They put cages on your eyes so you can't close them. Apparently they don't actually cut the eyes, they use suction to create the flap, this is the only part that you can feel something happening and is usually described as mild discomfort. The reshaping of the eye portion just has you focusing on a light as the machine makes the corrections to your eyes.

My left eye is great but my right eye could use sum o dat lasik. I've been trying to train it up but I don't think hard work will solve my problem with it.
