Well it is kinda true. If you get a tractor that can withstand the hardest material Earth has to offer and dig straight through it with ease. Plus it would have to be able to shelter you from the extreme heat of the Earth's core. Then there would be the problem of creating a dual volcano by digging a straight hole through the Earth itself. Or make Earth explode.
