I only learn how to drive a few years ago. I never really thought much of a need especially where I live right now. You can get around to just about anywhere you need to go by golf cart. I only learned just in case of a family emergency that my brother was injured and needed to get to the hospital.

I got my license the first time just over a year ago, then I drove 2,500 miles cross country with only one minor accident with a guardrail and sign because I was stupid and tried to answer a phone. But then a few months later I ran into a tree going 20 mph on a backroad because I tried to grab a flashlight that was about to roll under the pedals. Lesson here; Always stop first if you are going to do something that takes your eyes off the road. Also I'm horrible at multi-tasking. Luckily it was only an old shitty van that I didn't like driving anyway that I fucked up. Getting a new used car with my tax check.

Solid, you can't drive, bro? I'd teach if I was around your area. It's a useful skill even if you don't have a car yet.

I started driving at nineteen. I would have pursued it sooner but Virginia laws are strict. You have to go through a lot of procedure to get it earlier. I failed my test two times before I got it. I had the same tester the first two times who was a real jerk. Then I visited another dmv the instructor was reasonable and I passed no problem. Learning to drive was fun for me and I still enjoy it. Especially nice to cruise around.

Solid, you just need regular practice. After a while you feel like the car is a toy. Aslong as you follow the rules you avoid most street trouble.

It was just really poor timing for me to attend Highschool. When I was a freshmen they stopped offering drivers ed classes that year. And by the time I found a drivers ed school to attend on the weekends my family lost all our money and we couldn't afford it. The most I know about driving is on a motorcycle which I love driving, but you have to have a drivers license to even go for a motorcycle license. In Texas at least.
