Hahahahahaha. (≧▽≦) This is funny.
I personally don't really care what's in the room as long as it's clean. I've got a few dakimakuras and oppai mousepads myself (though the dakimakuras are all censored and the mousepads were freebies I got at cons). As long as mold isn't growing anywhere and there's no dirt on the merchandise I'm alright with it, and it'd have to be somewhere house guests wouldn't see it. Hardcore hentai is where I'd draw the line because I don't believe any girl would want that plastered to the walls. Bleh. Though figures and such I don't see as too big of a deal.

Anything hard core usually becomes a turn off. I imagine it goes for both genders. But if it's tasteful or clever even if it's nudity. It can start positive conversations. If the person you're dating can't even handle your taste at that level. Well is probably not a good idea to date. Extremely cute rooms could scare someone looking for some maturity and extreme porn could scare someone looking for settle romance. At least that's my view on it. What's ideal I imagine is when you find someone that see you watching hentai and then sits next to you and shares theirs That's kind of what most people are aiming for.

I think anything would be fine... just not old food or a strange smell.

This seems to be turning more into "how not to make your date flee the first time she sees your house/apartment because you're a skeezy unsanitary creeper". XD
Not bad advice in general, just... yeah. I think as far as decorations and merch, you should decorate your living space however the hell you want. Sure, it's not a bad idea to keep the really explicit/raunchy stuff out of sight. But better to find out that someone doesn't appreciate your interests now rather than later.

But seriously, one of the most female friendly things you can do for wherever you live is putting a trash can in the bathroom. Especially if you're expecting a woman to spend any prolonged periods of time at your place
