discovered anime

Like most i started with dbz and pokemon..but then when i was about 17 my little brother got into it and watched a few studio ghibli films and so did i but i still didnt know it was anime until i started watching naruto and then he told me it was called anime haha thanks to my lil bro changed my life for good hahah

Yea I started in early 80's with voltron, starblazers, robotech. But did not find out what anime was till early 90's when my friend had me watch Akira.

I grew up watching Sakura Cardcaptor, Pokemon, and Digimon. When I was older we went to the library and wandered to teens sections and found all it had was basically Inuyasha films where the DVDs were. I decided try it out and I got hooked on it. Later I watched Spirited Away and I just fell in love. I wandered in further into the teen's section (still being perhaps 10 still and not really supposed to be there..)I found my way towards the "Graphic Novels" section. That section was filled with manga and then I learned what anime/manga was. It was perfect. *0*

I forgot to mention Digimon is still one of my top20 yes the list has grown in ten years but still I like it better than pokemon

I grew up on DBZ, Naruto, and Pokemon. To me they were always more then cartoons ESPECIALLY Naruto. So I start watching them online at 10 that's when I discoved other anime. Every anime I watch inspires me and shows me what never backing down and love or passion is. Us anime fans.. we're different man, because we are apart of something that makes people better, lifts them up and inspire them. Be proud that you love anime, you wouldn't be the same if you didn't find it.. :)
