The loves gene?

beenjamminable
I watched a documentary a few days ago about love, and in it explored what it is and if it's possible for someone to not be able to feel love. At one point they went to chemists at university and discussed what the biological effects are and that it's possible that some people are born with out the ability to process the chemicals generated by love. What do you guys think of this?

Sounds like a load of crock to me, love is a behaviour. I think this question is one of the toughest in mankind, there are many characteristics that fall under it. Though no one truly knows like the back of their hand, what "love" truly is.

I'm not sure behavior would be the right word, since it implies love is more of an action than a feeling. There are people who do not or have yet to feel love, since I'm an example.

There are two types of Love my friend. 1. Puppy love- Or the emotional kind that makes you feel butterflies in your stomach, it's a group of chemicals released in your brain when bonding, or your body's attempt to make you bond anyway, This can last as little as 6 months to two years. But it always fades in time. 2. Real love- Once the puppy dog love fades it's about your own commitment and decision to love someone. It's a choice not a feeling. it's also stronger, but less intense, take it as you will. Now sociopaths don't feel any emotion which includes the #1 love. But they can have commitment to someone. So #2 is possible. The question is if they'll WANT it or not.
