Fish are Friends...

Well, I'm a bit of a collector of various things. I have so many different collections that I don't know what to do with a lot of them. But my favorite collection are my fish. Right now I have a 20 gallon long type tank that holds a menagerie of fish... But the stars of the show are my various serpents. I own a pair of fish commonly known as Dinosaur Bichir.(Pronounced "Biker") Very primeval fish who almost look more like lizards than fish. They have primitive lungs in place of a swim bladder and have very attractive personalities. My other stars are my spiny eels. The first of the two is a Spotted Peacock Eel. Mainly tan with light stripes down it's body and a trio of eye spots on it's tail, it is a curious fish. The second and my favorite fish is my Fire Eel. Dull black like a tire, it features metallic orange stripes from it's head down it's body and many small metallic spots on it's tail that give it a very distinct look. But what makes it my favorite is how friendly it is. The little guy is quite fond of me and will come up to the glass when I come near the tank. And at feeding time he happily lets me hand feed him his favorite blood worms. ^v^

So, does anyone else keep fish? Which are your favorites? How big is your tank? What color underwear are you wearing? Do you have any funny stories involving your fish?

OMG did some one feed my fish today...O.O oddly enuff I have fish and 2 cats they havnt tryed to eat them yet XD

XD My cat enjoys watching the tank. He's an old orange tabby. I'm thinking about upgrading to a take around of 100 gallons one of these days... But I want to move out and find a place to settle down a bit first. Though I need to do so within the next three or four years since the fire eel can grow up to a foot and a half once he's an adult. XD And the dinosaurs get to one foot. Been trying to teach them to eat from my hand... But they'd much rather scrounge for it. XD (Though they aren't to bright. They often wind up swallowing rocks. XD) I also have a pair of eclipse/sun catfish and four ghost catfish. The ghosts are interesting fish because they A) like to just stay in one place right in the current, and B) are completely transparent. XD It's fun to watch them eat.

I just have some gold fish it was cool when they had baby's lol 2 of them only (2 died though and one was a baby :( my fav ones too GoldDust and Lucky ...I still have Star, Gimi, I, Sun, and Shin lol I named my fish ...

I named mine too... My two dinosaurs are Remi(Rembrandt) and Van(Van Gogh) my eels are Pico(Pico de Guallo) and Salsa(Salsa) then my dojo/weather loach is Little Mouse(It has big eyes and whiskers like a mouse and energetically looks for food on the floor of the tank.) So yeah... XD You are not alone. Hm... I have the sudden urge to buy some minnows tomorrow as a treat to my bichir.

fishy fishy fishy I watch animal planet a lot under water life is so fascinating I my self love water I was born a swimmer once when I was 1 acording to my mom we went to cheek the mail at are apt and I just wondered off and jumped in the deep end of the pool and started to swim and know I never had lessons

XD I was at the beach as a baby and just walk straight into the water... Only to have a wave hit me. XD I really love water. I even have a set of professional grade snorkeling gear from when I was taking SCUBA lessons. Went snorkeling on a reef once out in the Gulf while on a cruise. Was an awesome experience to go out to the edge of the reef and look out at the open ocean. Deep blue as far as the eye could see. Going on another cruise to celebrate my grandmother's birthday around October and I'll probably do some more snorkeling. Heh... I really love the water. It's such an amazing world. Heh. I've very passionate about animals and nature and such. XP

me too but at the same time I'm not an outside person unless its snowing or cold I don,t like bugs X(... on another note the coolest thing happend to me yeasterday 2 canadian geese were right out side of my apt billding my mom and I went out to see them up close and they didn't run or fly away from us my mom took pictures of them and then a little latter they started honking as if saying good bye and finally took off in a paralare line together (my spelling not grate XP sorry
