how to meet new friends that like anime/mangas?

its hard to find people who likes anime or mangas most people would say that im weird that i like anime/mangas because if you see me in person i dont look like the type that would like it i just want to know how to meet people that like anime/mangas because my friends dont know what that is lol i would love to make new friends that like the same things as me but how?

Try going to the library or a bookstore; browse through the manga/comics section. Chances are that people who are in those sections are fans of manga, strike up a conversation about the manga they're looking at.

Well I am 37 and have full time job and really don't look the otaku part myself. But been an otaku for 25+ years and still going strong. I'll prolly die watching anime or plYing a game. Actually knowing my luck will trip down stairs or get hit by a car because I am wearing some elaborate cosply costume that makes it hard to see or move in hehehe.

Just about anything can be taken as flirting or being friendly. If you aren't trying to flirt, then don't be batting your eyelashes at them. XD

I'd say the easiest way is going to some kind of anime convention near where you live. Go to anime convention then make anime friends.
