Grave of the fireflies is saddest anime ever and I balled during it. Another emotional pseudo romance anime that made me cry was Chrono Crusade. Great show and so sad.

So, I have to give you a disjointed that not-quite-but-really-utterly-fails-to-keep-on-the-subject list. lol So, for romance (aside from the ones that have already been suggested) I can't point to anime (because they've already been... Well, you get the idea). But I can point to three manga series that I've read, and maybe they have an anime, and I just don't know about it. Hana-Kimi: Great romantic comedy, clean, I thought they did it very well. Crimson Hero: One of my all-time favorite mangas, and I think it's ongoing. The character development, pacing, and interpersonal relationships all appeal to me. Mixed Vegetables: Pretty awsome, and only eight volumes. High School Debut: I put it on the same level as Crimson Hero, for pretty much the same reasons, but I think Crimson Hero did the relationships better. for anime, these are ones that got me teary-eyed, but aren't necessarily romance. Aria (The Animation (season one) The Natural Part 1 and 2 (season 2) and the Origination (season 3)). Sound of the Sky Mushi-shi Honorable mention: The Wallflower. I love that show.

Have you seen Paradise Kiss? It's a bit romantic. Marmalade boy, Fushigi Yuugi, Ayashi no Ceres. Old ones, that you might have seen but certainly worth a mention as imo they are classics.

Oh lord.. I'm watching Mushi-shi with my sister. Is it sad? I own Grave of the fireflies and it is one of the saddest things i have ever seen. Chrono Crusade I have watched most of but as of yet have not finished it. I have heard its heartbreaking. Aoi, Paradise Kiss is beautiful and one of my faves I have seen it and loved every second as well as all the anime you mentioned. they are classics but I deeply love them all. I have read some of the manga Kare first love and it really appealed to me. I haven't got to finish it though lol, such is the story of my life (-.-)I have also read some of but not completed Hana-kimi. I loved the art in both of these very much. Anyway, Thank you all so much for everything..I've realized there are a lot of anime and manga out there that i need to finish so i should get on those ehe! Much love as always you guys! <3

And no no no please analyze away Talamar. the reviews are not silly at all. I like hearing opinions and such it helps me to understand how other people see things and what they take away from something everyone here loves and that is anime/manga. I quite enjoy all of yalls posts and I read them all. So please everyone feel free to be open about anime here that's part of the reason I posted this. When I watched grave of the fireflies well wept is an understatement lol. Anime that can make you feel something like that is truly something to behold.

Yea I am a Sucker for Sentimental and romance... I love a Show that can move me. Another great but under rated few shows that have aspects of Romance and are emotional are Basilisk. Very bloody but it has a Romeo And Juliet quality to it that makes for great story and one that more is a bonds of friendship and comrades but very tragic is the Anime Retelling of Akira Kirasawa's The seven Samurai Samurai 7. While it does stray from the story a bit from the orgianl Black and White Classic it still holds very true to the nature and pays excellent homage to a great movie. Should check it out. again very emotional show and great characters that suck you into the story.
