Romantic Anime?

yuusaku_godai
If you're into retro anime then "<b>Maison Ikkoku</b>" is a great one if you are into relationships based on misunderstandings and comic relief. "<b>His and Hers Circumstances</b>is also an excellent one if you are into comedy. However this one is one of the most emotionally charged romance story I have never seen!

I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned Clannad. I have never experienced as much emotion any other anime as I experienced from Clannad.

I haven't watched the anime, but I own the entirety of the Marmalade Boy manga, and it's very amazing in terms of romance stories. Doesn't fall to a lot of the pitfalls some romance stories succumb to, even if it does have a few dumb moments, as well as some lame-brained-ness. But that's because people have those moments. It's so real, as in this would totally happen, and as a result it's pretty damn compelling.

Ah Clannad. I have started this one and have been told by many it is quite the tear jerk-er. I am a little afraid of how sad this one might be but for some reason I am completely drawn to it. I don't know if its the art i'm drawn to of the creators amazing ability to tell such a wonderful story. His and her circumstances I actually own as well and it is one of my favorites. Rumiko Takahashi is wonderful and I am very familiar with her work and a very big fan of hers. I have not seen Maison Ikkoku but it is on my list. Marmalade boy I have seen most of and I love this anime. It is very realistic in terms of the romance and trials the character experience and I have really enjoyed this anime. So, I know this is a long post lol but I want to thank you all for your suggestions. I will be watching all of them XD. How about this though? What is the most romantic anime you've ever seen? One that left you awe-inspired at the end of it. Or feel free to list any anime that has left that impression. Thanks guys you're all wonderful ^.^ much love as always!

I think Gosick is a very good romance anime, tough it involves other stuff as well.

Well I have Three I really really Liked #1 is Ai Yori Aoshi, Amazing story beautiful characters and Well Placed Humor and it bridge the gap of old tradition Japan and new Moder Japan. #2 Shuffle, I just love the characters and story and while very silly and goofy at times it has extreme drama moments. All the characters are likable and they do not seem to be out of place or air headed like alot of Harem Shows tend to be. #3 Kimikiss, Was a very cute Slice of Life/School Life anime that I found totally on accident. It was on sale really cheap I I though at this price I might as Well take a chance and turned out to be very Heartwarming and felt real and you could sympathize with each character. So turned out to be a diamond in the rough and I love it. Honorable Mention- Clannad While the story and animation and characters are amazing I find the romance a bit lacking as a die hard romance show. It is cute at times and darn right Sad at others (I cried like a Baby in After Story so sue me) but as far as a romance show it falls bit short but as far as Drama Slice of life it might be one of the best ever. Is a MUST SEE! Sorry for my Silly Reviews rofl. I used to have to do this for an Online Anime Magazine and so i find myself analyzing things about shows and such.

I will openly admit to Clannad being one of the three anime that I have openly wept to (the other two being Barefoot Gen and Grave of the Fireflies). Probably some the most emotional investment I've ever placed in an animu.

It's not a romance per se, but while we're on the subject of stuff I've wept to, I openly admit to crying every time I see the end of Gunbuster.
