Monster Rancher, I wish I remembered it better. :< But the first anime that I knew was anime was Digimon. Digimon is still one of my faves.

Probably that koala show on Nickelodeon, technically, although Pokemon was really what got the wheels turning. Got up at friggin' 6 AM for that in middle school.
