Shikamara, In the exact opposite position. I want a woman who is older than myself and that can understand what I'm studying, at the level that she doesn't use some ballpark terms to describe a specific profession. I'm mature for my age, I try to manage my finances and not rely on my parents but I still am bound by financial support they provide for college. All I want is to be independent of them, I am tired of feeling like the failed son they're constantly trying to salvage, I've been called lazy for backing away from the hardest path possible that I don't believe is worth taking the risk for, and selfish for choosing a college where I didn't get a full scholarship. Wow, at age 25 and with two children already eh? Two kids are my limit for total children and I would feel very awkward myself to be responsible for two kids that didn't know me. I had verbal abuse from my stepmother for many years so I am wary of getting into a relationship with children already in it. All the same, Shikamara, I hope you're able to find whom you're looking for. Your children are important and you need someone to support you and them well.

i should really read that manga. @masuji- i feel that parents are there to help you learn to stand on your own feet, and to help catch you when you fall. also i won't introduce someone to my boys until i know that the person will be in their life for a VERY long time. and even then i don't look for that person to truly raise them as their dad... abuse is one thing i will no longer sit back and take. no person deserves any type of abuse.

Shikachan. I grew up in sb alcoholic household so I can totally understand about the abuse thing. And as for not wanting to involve your children again very strong of you. I have had a friend or two that drug guys in and out of their child's life and they never really understood who they were. One of them besides his mom I was the only constant in his life. I was like his brother. Still to this day we go and have fun together. I am impressed that you have such a great focus for your children.

Good call Shika-chan, Its good to know some mothers have their heads screwed on right. There are too many people who use their own children as mere "tools" and Its unfair to the Children in my opinion.
