cant afford to go Japan :'(

i wish i had money to go to Japan. I think the ticket like a few hundred dollars.
-sigh- not to mention a place to stay and all the things I want to buy. I need find a otaku millionaire and make my best bud lol

Not sure if you're in college, but have you ever considered studying abroad for a semester? There are ways to visit the country without having to buy a plane ticket, hotel, etc. If not, it might be something you'll have to save up for and plan far in advance.

You get to go study there and meet people faster than just going there by yourself -.- it sucks going to a new place with nobody you know...

You will get to learn the language faster and make so much friends!!

Ya... 3000 dollar school trip to go is a deal compared to the actual cost by yourself. By yourself be prepared to pay 5000 dollars between plane, food, lodging, souvenirs, and trains

You might not be able to afford to go to Japan now, but you can start planning out your trip. If you have a part-time job, you should make a little 'Trip to Japan' fund and put a set amount of your paycheck in there every month. It might not seem like much at first, but the money will keep building up. If you really want to go to Japan, then you'll save up enough eventually.

Literally plan out 1-2 years ahead, thats what I am going to do be doing. 2015 I will plan out a trip to Japan with friends. Alot of money will be saved and hopefully my Japanese will be better.


As Pheonix said $5000 at minimum should be good to go, again remember the Dollar to Yen might chance for better or worst and prices on certain things can add up.

I am most likely going to save up $5000-$6000 for a Week trip there.
