Discovered anime at 55 :)

Never to late(There was a dude on here that hasn't been on in ages, he was around fifty five...ten years ago.lol). I used to go to a convention like twenty years ago (Only twelve years younger than you.lol) and there was a wonderful lady who had to be around seventy or so. She'd dress up and was known as ota-granny(It was ota-con. It's still around.). Point being, there are anime fans of ALL ages. I am curious as to what got you interested? Best of luck here. It's dead-ish... But, there are a few of us floating around. Also, just a heads up... If you're looking for romance, this place is very likely not going to make that happen.lol Friends? Hey good for you. It's never too late to get into a totally new thing. Anime is so varied that it can suit people of all ages. I'm also curious which anime got you into it

Bastard was actually the first one I saw last year on Netflix. Didn't really think too much about it again until a major surgery 2.5 months ago and I started watching JJK. It was a great escape, I love the action, the storyline, the imagination, and I also really loved the feelings I got from the characters. That got me to getting a crunchyroll subscription and down the rabbit hole I went! I just love the emotions that come through the stories and characters. I just came here to browse around, maybe chat here and there. Its just fun finding others with similar interests.
