Too Old for Anime?

As an old man I'd like to chime in with an opinion. Short answer, No. that is all... ok maybe not. Long Answer with analysis... The thing is there are genre's and titles of Manga and Anime made for older folks. You'd be surprised how much the writing and scenes improve in older/mature minded manga/anime work out as well. No gratuitous ecchi situations or huge boobs bouncing and slapping other hot girls in the face all the time (this is a good and yet bad thing). If your over 28ish... some titles are more mid-life themed. Uchuu Kyoudai is a good example and one I suggest picking up if the life you feel you've lived up until now just isn't how you expected it to turn out. When I stopped reading Manga and watching anime during College the world changed, we (the US) went to war and for basically 11 years I was out of the world of anime having to deal with Real Life. I come back to a different anime world, where things have gotten waaaay more MOE and the titles just starting when i left it like Naruto and Bleach are now old veterans. It's odd... Not that particularly ever liked Bleach. Ecchi and Harem's were a more niche genre and Hentai had its own little section in the adult video store for VHS tapes on a VCR. I look at the field now and there is plenty of crap in the world of anime with lots of forced fanservice in even the most normal of anime titles. Plenty of forced situations but anime always had that just not so prevalent as it used to be. Parts of the anime world have matured and parts have purposely stayed immature. Both are good and bad. It's more a changing of a person's taste. So if you truely believe your too old for anime then you always will be no matter what your age is and vice versa for being too immature to grow out of it.

been Die hard Anime fan Since early 80's with Robotech, Starblazers and Voltron. Your never too old for something ya love. I still love it and will prolly die lovin it. Just somthing I enjoy and as they say your only as old yas ya feel.. and I am Still young at heart =). So break out the Pocky grab some Calpis Water and watch your favorite anime show till your eyes bleed is what I say =)

helllll no you cant be to old! im 22 years old and i fricken lovee anime, and i will always love anime, people can say what they want to me but i dont give a shit, its what i like to do and if ppl dont like it they dont have to watch it
