There's not enough information on these charts. Who was surveyed? Was it only religious people who generally practice religions that preach don't have sex before marriage? What are the age groups? Where was the survey done? Graphs look to be over 20 years old. Societal norms have changed. Even if the information on these graphs are true (which I doubt they are), its outdated. You sleep around with enough people without protection or knowing anything about your partner, then you're bound to get STDs. Has nothing to do with marriage, has to do with being cautious.

John, Atleast you brought up studies for BOTH genders, instead of "Hey guys, what are your opinions on sex before marriage? Here's a couple of random charts only showing women as my base opinion. Now, have at it.". Not to mention OP seems to bash women A LOT. Surely he's not biased or something and looking for only one opinion...

@[Thicc]Ed "having sex with strangers increase chances of STD in women" I always felt that was Adult version of a boogeyman tale i know someone who has sex with 71 different women and Still haven't gotten a std or disease yet and while it might be morally wrong and there always still a chance to fail the roulette. i always thought getting STD is smaller what we were taught or known.

Hiki, thats because most people don't have STDs. The problem is a lot of them you can't tell if someone has something until its too late, or they don't even know they have something. Its a gamble, but its a gamble with a low chance. Its a strict teaching because they're fervently trying to stop the diseases from being spread, which is fine, but again this has nothing to do with sex before marriage. Waiting to have sex with someone does not stop you from getting STDs specifically, as your partner could turn out to have an STD and they don't even know it. Being responsible can be just as effective as abstinence.

I can't really even think of marriage when my relationships barely last a month or two at most.. and if people were more careful who they slept with then they wouldn't have an issue. We invited condoms for more than one reason.
